Though of that, but they wouldn't get here until it was starting to warm up again.

Lots of GPUs, a quad 7970/280x rig works as a spectacular 1200W space heater.

$1500 invested in 3mh/s would bring in about $200 a month on scrypt, not counting electricity.

Well, there are a lot of factors which need to be considered.

*Is your office well-ventilated?
*Is your office made of flammable materials?
*Do you care about soot on your walls, ceiling, and furnishings?

buy as many BFL as you can on Ebay.com and write off the electricity as the energy expense to keep the office warm.

Then you cash out the BTC later  ;D

Oh, Make sure to sign up for the Fire Insurance, in case, one of the BFL starts fire in the office...

Lots of CPU and GPU would do the work, but make sure your office is fireproof...

You are asking at the wrong place, everyone would tell you some mining idea here... anyway, go ahead and buy yourself some 1-2 TH/s ASIC :)

Quite sure that only GPU mining can be use as space heater. Dual 7990 GPU would do the job... ASICs produce too little heat. Do you have 1200 watt to spare?

Put on a sweater.  Mining rigs like the cold.

Candle powered radiant heater.  Friend of mine built one, works well for little money.

Blockerupter blade x10. Guaranteed 800W power usage :)

I took out a PSU out of my scrypt mining rig to power 3 blades and I reallly miss the heat... now I have to pay for more heating!
