Title: Could Monero replace Bitcoin? Post by: MovieChain on April 13, 2018, 01:54:47 AM In terms of likelihood, the probability of Monero replacing Bitcoin is so very low, at least not in the nearest future.
During the next six to the thirty-month horizon, Monero has such little probability of attaining a dominant position so massively exceeding that which bitcoin currently enjoys such that bitcoin was considered essentially obsolete and was, in a practical sense, effectively redundant, that the chance of this can be considered ZERO. However, in terms of capability & potential, Monero can match Bitcoin and thus if enough cryptocurrency users largely abandoned bitcoin in favor of Monero. This alternative to Bitcoin, it has the technical capability to provide the same or similar functionalities to those which are bitcoin provides by virtue of its core design purpose. Therefore, Monero ‘replacing’ Bitcoin is definitely plausible; which is to say: within the foreseeable future, it is a reasonable possibility at least, if not an absolute certainty. Monero can't track address and several hackers/darkmarket use monero to make a transactions. So if you going to look at their marketcap bitcoin is way better than monero.

IMO the main reason is a market itself, most of altcoin especially a new coin are trade with bitcoin pair. So I think it can make huge btc volume market itself.
Its look like this, if we wanna look up coin that have better technology & development there is lot of coin that has it. But if we wanna look up coin that have better investment future, I think bitcoin are still the best of it. Title: Re: Could Monero replace Bitcoin? Post by: Fundamentals Of on April 13, 2018, 02:40:11 AM Insofar as privacy coins are concerned, I think Monero is the king. Bitcoin is not as private and anonymous as Monero. We only need to bring back the Silk Road incident and we will have a pretty clear answer as to which cryptocurrency is the leader in terms of privacy. Right now, there are also some other cryptocurrencies that pride themselves with their privacy features. Dash, Verge, DeepOnion, and several others are also presenting themselves as the best private coins. Well, it is for the users to tell. As for me, Monero is still the number one. But overall, Bitcoin is unequaled.
