You do not have to be a certain level to give smerit or get merit. Merit is what you receive and smerit is what you give. You obtain smerit by either being an initial merit source(which are assigned by admins) OR getting merit from others(you earn .5 smerit for every merit you receive) Title: Re: How do you get merit point? I try to stress how important it is to display personality in posts because while someone may have the same exact opinion as you do, personality will set you apart. The forum is filled with people who know as much and more than we do about the crypto community, so we need to find a way to stand out while still contributing something that others may not.
