Title: Have you encountered BTC Camp?Is it a SCAM?
Post by: cellflash on April 14, 2018, 09:35:23 PM
When I'm collecting my litoshi and dogecoin, the link http://btccamp.xyz/? Just appeared and offers 75,500 Satoshi every 10mins. When I entered my address, it is not working.. Then I do it repeatedly but still, it is not working. Do you have idea about this?

It's just a simple faucet and all faucets are "scams" by default. There must be some catch, like when you enter captcha it's not working so they ask you to enter again and you do. They can be farming captcha or just refreshing the page for ads. Who knows...

Also, don't use faucets, they're completely worthless. And the only one whos making some money is the owner.

they are definitely a scam, it is not possible that a facucet offers this:

Quote
Big Earnings
Make 75,000 satoshis every 10 minues for free without any captcha payed directly to your Bitcoin address.

Have you ever wondered how much money the owner of this faucet would have to have every day to pay the people who complain? this is unsustainable and definitely is scam. my doubt is and why he keeps this site. what is the purpose of the owner of this faucet. Either way stay away from this faucet

Also, don't use faucets, they're completely worthless. And the only one whos making some money is the owner.

Faucets are full of such scam ads and one should not fall for such too-good-to-be-good offers. It would have made sense if the ad was from a few years back when bitcoin's price was low but at current price and google adsense discontinuing their services for such sites, it is impossible to gather a few cryptocoins which is worth for the actual time wasted there.

Scam for me are those who obtain money from me..
I don't want to generalize all faucets because in some point it help.. They gave litoshi specially to people who dont want to spend money as investment in cryptocurrency ecosystem.. Some faucets gave litoshi to be used to be part of bitcointalk.. Thru this, it helps the newbie to be part of bitcointalk..
Sometimes, I think that it is a waste of time, but some of it is a sure money..

Well they do obtain money from you and give you nothing in return. You invest your time and clickz and get a few satoshis in return that are worthless even if regularly collected.

No need to generalize faucets, they're all basically the same at the core. They give out worthless dust.

What? How does that help you being a part of bitcointalk? ;D ;D

It is, actually... It would be something like this, you can some to me every 15 minutes, give me 50cents and I give you 10 cents. Now just scale it down to nothing you get the point of faucets.

Other faucets pay like 100-200 satoshi every hour while this one is claiming to give you 75.500 satoshi in just 10 minutes. There is undoubtely something fishy going on here.

The owner of the site is trying to get as many views as possible for maybe his a-ads account or as said above he maybe farming captchas as many and many websites now requires a simple captcha solving before you log in to them. So either way he just wants to make money and nothing more, you will only lose time at that website.

75k Satoshi equals to around 6 dollars right now, that is confirmed scams.
Faucets usualls only gives few cents at best, this faucets will either will not pay you out or putting a malware ads to inject your PC.
I'm running Ad-blocker so I can't confirm whether the ads has potential malware or not.

Was supposed to say the same thing where those too good to be true claim amounts do already signifies a red flag. 75k satoshi for a faucet do only happen in our dreams and now faucet owner would really put such return on just resolving captcha. On that thing alone you can already make jurisdictions that it is indeed a scam.Even sticking out on legit faucet sites and the same as other people do said on here those are just worthless things.
