Title: Unusual Trading Patterns used as a DDOS attempt?
Post by: GeniuSxBoY on July 31, 2011, 05:11:31 PM
Seems like they are trying to DDOS the system by flooding the servers with tiny orders, huge bids to stall the search function.

It breaks Clark Moody and MtGoxlive, but mtgox itself seems unphased so far.

With custom bots out there using all kinds of crazy algorithms I don't see how these trades are special to you.  You could also be seeing MtGox rollback the fail that happened this morning.  I definitely wouldn't cry DDoS either.

I figured it out. They were just trying to create their own subset market within the market, but it failed.
