Title: Transferring GBP (UK) to Bitstamp??? Post by: MatTheCat on November 14, 2013, 01:55:54 AM Are there any UK based Bitcoin holders who could advise on best method?
Obviously, their was the TW currency exchange that offered a more palatable fee (hidden fee) than bank transfer, but they have suspended all payments to Bitcoin exchanges. Then i have just tried Forex UK, and much to my surprise, my mother (whose house my bank account is registered at) just got a confirmation call from them when I went to make a 5K transfer........fk that, and fk them, quite frankly. Then there is obviously Localbitcoins.com, but the prices on their tend to track the MtGox premiums and at the time being are 20-30 quid over spot....again, fk that. EDIT: And you can add ForexUK to that list of money changers who dont fund Bitcoin exchanges. Title: Re: Transferring GBP (UK) to Bitstamp??? Post by: seafarer124 on November 14, 2013, 08:02:43 AM I use my NatWest account with internet banking/international transfer. Never had a problem, just did another transfer an hour ago.
Ten pound fee for the transfer, funds will be in my BitStamp account tomorrow. Title: Re: Transferring GBP (UK) to Bitstamp??? I finally transferred using Post Office (HiFx) International Money Transfer....not the best rates but better than a bank. Title: Re: Transferring GBP (UK) to Bitstamp???
