Title: Actions taken against spam megathreads?
Post by: bitart on April 16, 2018, 08:14:37 PM
I've found this while browsing the Bitcoin Discussion thread:

Is this just something random listing of the thread or someone had taken actions against the threads where usually newbies post useless two liners?

You got that right.  Those threads are almost without exception complete garbage--garbage that should go straight to the trash can.  We'll see what this means, exactly.  Bitcoin Discussion has become nothing more than a big electromagnetic spammer magnet, and it's not even worth posting in the few threads that are worthwhile, because anything you write will, within seconds, get buried in an avalanche of crap.

All I see is a bunch of other useless threads there. ~10 pages since yesterday. The locked ones are on page 9 now. It's gonna take a lot more praying to make a dent in it.

This is already a common thing for other sections like the economy, politics, off topics, altcoins, etc. That's why I don't even give a single minute on reading those threads which is already got spammed by the other users.

Isn't it possible for the moderators to lock or even delete that spammed threads? I hope they can do such things like locking the threads for eternity, so even if the OPs try to unlock it, that won't be possible anymore as for it has already been locked by the mods.

That still a little part, you must know there are still many spammers out there, but i don't understand why that thing still happen.

They just try to pluck the amount of the post and merit but not trying to think the post that more innovative.
