Title: Question about bitcoin-qt fees
Post by: knight22 on November 14, 2013, 03:29:28 AM
I just installed bitcoin-qt to make a try and sent a transaction. I then noticed that the transaction fees was set to 0 by default. How long it could take before this transaction get a confirmation?

If there are no outputs less than 0.01, then it should not be too long.

Varies from transaction to transaction.

Some have very few that makes credits instant some takes longer

Could be minutes.  Could be days. Difficult to predict, the following information would help:

How many kilobytes is the transaction?

What is the bitcoin value of the smallest output?

How many confirmations does the largest input have and what is it's bitcoin value?

bitcoin-qt will automatically tell you if you need to pay fee, usually if the size is large you will need to pay some....
