I am looking for a post about Staking ETH Address, because I can't sign a message with my BTC Address because I am not holding my Private Keys, and since my ETH Address is the only address that I have Private keys, can someone give the post on signing a message using ETH Address for security and recovering purposes in the future. I only see the post of tomatocage and shorena which is Signing a BTC Address. Here is the link. Anything other than that isn't honored here as far as I know, since it's a Bitcoin forum.
So yeah, all you need to do is download a Bitcoin client like Electrum, create a wallet and keep the seeds safe, and follow the instructions within the tutorial. Again, it doesn't matter if the address doesn't have anything in it, for as long as you can prove that you own it via a signed message. Someone says that we can stake our ETH Address as well here in this forum, I know that we can stake without BTC's in it, I just want it here to be listed for security and future purposses. so long as you can stake your bitcoin address there is no need for a duplicate topic staking another altcoin's addresses. and it won't stop at ETH, you want ETH someone else wants LTC, another person another altcoin and so on. there will be no end to it. I understand the main point of staking ETH Address, yes it is for proving that you own that wallet as well as this Bitcointalk account, I'm just afraid of losing this, that I have no proof that this is mine. I think BTC and ETH address is the only accepted address here to use for signing a message. Have you even read his reply? He just states that there isn't a ETH adress stake thread since this is a bitcoin forum. If you give in to that you'll soon need to give in to every shitcoin. However i could see exceptions being made to that rule, but to say that it's widely accepted by mods/admins here is wrong. I wouldn't take my chances.
