The current bitcointalk website is still pretty functionable on mobile sites. I frequently have to zoom in & out to go from one page to another because the page-links appear tiny.
By the way, the new forum software that is being developed is aimed to make the forum mobile friendly but we don't know when it would be released.

Try to use Opera Mini Browser on your phone. It will give you good experience, bud. Much better, the text will fit on your screen as well when you zoom in or zoom out, so you don't need to slide your screen. Or if you using Iphone try the Safari Browser.

How do you enable this feature? I just installed it and mine looks the same as in Firefox and Chrome.

Edit: I'm also getting ads from time to time while using this browser...

I heard they are working on new forum software and really hope they have responsive function in mind.
They do.

Although the current version of BitcoinTalk is not responsive however it works relatively ok for mobile browsers.  I use iPhone and I find it ok with my safari browser.

I heard they are working on new forum software and really hope they have responsive function in mind.

There is no specific feature on it. But Opera Mini work smoothly than another browser on my phone, also when I try to zoom in/out the screen will fitted as well. Not mobile friendly, but much better than another. I dont know what happened on yours. There is no have ads on mine. Did you download it from Google Playstore, or another sources?

Edit : for ads, I think you can try to turn on the block ads feature. Settings - then click on block ads to enable the feature.

There is a very ugly and "oldish"-looking mobile view for Bitcointalk. Simply start it with the following addition in the url:

https://bitcointalk.org/?wap2

The interface is pretty simple and clean, and you should be able also to login and post/reply. So it's not the worst option, I think. It's not beautiful, but functional. And you don't see ads.

A responsive mode would be fine, however (I hope the new forum software gets released soon ... in my lifetime ...)

This is interesting, I can imagine how it looked in the old days.  It is simple and clean, though I cannot distinguish pinned thread and others.

Thanks for the tip. I started using Opera Mini browser on my phone.  Much better, the text began to fit the screen, as well as zoom in or out. ;)
