Ok guys according to P-hub and Verge (XVG), P-hub is in a partnership with Verge. It makes sense; people want to pay for adult stuff anonymously and Verge is a privacy coin. The potential is pretty huge, because P-hub is probably one the biggest in the adult industry.

Do you think this is good development for Verge and for crypto in general?

It sounds pretty much as fake news, please be careful.

Well this is a good development but with the hype xvg has created since two weeks ago about the partnetship,  quite alot of people out of FOMO dumped their coins at loss just to buy XVG, hoping it will be one major partnership with a big e-commerce company like alibaba, amazon or some other company in that category and xvg has see a steady rise since then. But now seeing all the hype is a partnership with some porno site, quite alot of people might be disappointed. Not everybody likes porn. Lets wait and see how this goes anyway.

It seems that its fake, I think its good if you have a source that news or link to, but if its true well it a good sign for that, Paying adult material and become anonymous for using an altcoin is a good idea. You don't need your credit card and other information that leads to privacy issue. Hope that verge will make that steps and can benefit people involved in that hobby.

Yeah its real, i see adult industries very promising and not everyone want to make payment using their credit card because fear of their wife etc. But just becaue phub will be partner of xvg doesn mean xvg price will increase significally. Just becarefull though there no invesment that 100% save.

however, it's not like it's illegal to pay for porn, therefor any crypto would work just fine to use,
the length one has to go to Maybe get someones real info(depends if someone used it on an exchange connected to wallet etc), is not something anyone except government could achieve,
and again since it's not illegal, government won't care.

So in short: using crypto for this purpose makes sense, but why it'd be only with Verge does not.

Well for me when it is about business, I also see it as an increases and an upgrade of company, when there is partnership there is expansion in a business between 2 companies.

Here is my opinion and I hope every one respects what I am going to say in my post.

So for me I would say this porn is not good and it made into a business and entertainment I know I should not interfere but again this is my opinion, so for this is not a business for getting the sensation that you guys are feeling is not an entertainment for it should be felt between 2 persons, 2 opposite sex that is married. Even Scientist may say that it is just normal when it comes sex hormones. In the end why spending money or altcoins and bitcoins to get entertained why not just do it yourself or wait for a wife or husband to make out with.  

 

It's good to have as much partnerships as you can get , but if verge will be associated only with porn industry it will be a big problem . All porn related coins is not exactly popular and attractive for investors . Also a porn is not legal in many countries and it will tarnish crypto industry and make it less popular in those places .

I'm sure that the Verge community was waiting for something much more than collaborating with a porn site and if you look at the graphics of Verge, in the last hour it lost about 19 percent of its value. But in any case, this is a big step for the crypto world and I think further there will be even more high-profile partnership agreements!

Partnerships dont exist from someone paying millions to be accepted on the site. Old 50 year olds that pay for porn aren't going to go through the trouble of having to exchange for Verge. Monero would be better, but their not going to pay to be added.

It is really very interesting of how much did they pay for that and why Pornhub don't care about its own brand equity, as Verge looks like a huge scam project after Bitconnect collapse. The way is already free opened for children to watch that kind of contents with many sites that distributes free tubes that makes profits only by ads. Those aren't quite unexpected news, considering that a lot of porn websites have been using different tokens for years already, it's convenient. For sure, using cryptocurrencies will bring even more attention to both - website and Verge, but I don't get why they chose XVG, if it's pretty volatile?

It's a good development. Reasons being the pornhub ecosystem is very big and this will help boast the price and of verge in the long run. But honestly, this wasn't the kind of news everyone was expecting to hear. I expected to hear the likes of partnership with Visa and other bigger platforms where anonymity is most needed.

I have a feeling this could actually have been one of the things discussed. McAfee likes Verge and he looks like the kind of person who also would like Pornhub, so maybe they said to themselves, ok let us try and secretly announce it and see what is the reaction. If the crypto community likes it, then yes, let us go do it. If not, we hold off and go to plan B. You never know with this type of centralized coin.

Why would it be fake? Porn one of the best reasons for many to actually use a privacy coin I have seen so far. Also pornhub has in the region of 3.4 billion visitors. If that only translates to 340 mil actual visitors and 2% of them are purchasing customers it is still a staggering number of 7 million people every month with a good incentive to use verge. Why would you pay with credit card when you can use verge? Might turn into a real case of mass adoption.

How to respond to things like this? I myself am not a video enthusiast maybe with a collaboration with Crypto will enlarge the company between the two as all will be well connected, maybe during the pornhub difficulties in terms of transactions on the platform then with the entry of Crypto will be the solution for the company.

Only problem is that verge is not privacy coin.  It has transparent ledger just like bitcoin and you can trace every Verge to their coinbase block.




Blockchain is way more transparent and irreversible as any credit card.  Even your grand grand grand childrens will see what you were using your Verge or any transparent ledger crypto today.

They announced about their secret partnership beforehand and everyone expected that it would be a really good company. But no one expected that it would be pornhub. Verge price dropped just after the announcement, but now it looks to be growing again. Anyway pornhub has a huge number of users so it's definitely a good partnership for Verge.

It's good that crypto is diversion its community around the different business sector. But many people will not support this partnership due to the adult industry. It means they are encouraging the user to use adult video platform. However it could go both ways, now we should wait and see.

Well that didn't really turned out to be good news since xvg was doing pretty fine before they announced that partnership. One look at how verge is doing now shows that many didn't approve of it though :p

even with this dip xvg is still closer to the jan/dec hype time than most other coins
people are right maybe most crypto users would pay for pornhub however its massive advertising with the amount of traffic ph has only need 1% to start buying for success.
in saying that hopefully verge has limited ph from accepting other crytos if its suceeds. even for a set timeframe thats negioted.
if mindgeek decides to back xvg with real $ then we have a very different scenario and a top5 would be easily reach. if they are just testing the market and pulls out then verge is dead

im a bit of a gambler so like yourself i doubled up on my verge in the dip. not much to lose but much to gain if successful .
im expecting either a sharp drop back to 3-4cents or a hike to the 50c range in the coming month.

I think it's a great partnership, because many people don't want to reveal their activity :)

So many people don't even read the latest drop of verge and keep spamming by hit and run. The worst partnership ever because the majority of holders and including me was expecting big announcement to support the future adoption of verge but the fact a partnership with useless site.

with a marketcap of 1B dont think they had much of a choice, most big companies wouldnt even bother with crypto as yet so they did get quite a big deal lets see how the cards unfold

When I saw this in the forum, It makes me curios about this news, so after I read it, I just tried to open the site of Phub, then I saw from their site that they were accepting coins as payments. It will be as one of the advertising campaign of the company to promote their products by implementation of project of accepting coins as payments.

if you were one to believe they had something going with amazon/paypal/ebay etc then you must have been dreaming a bit early. if you thought tokenpay then they had already annouce it was not tokenpay a few days earlier. if you had thought a bank..... hahaha nothing to say.

Although pornhub is a massive company, there is nothing to stop them accepting other forms of payment in the future aswell as Verge. This also means that it will be very difficult now for Verge to be taken seriously as a mainstream coin. Theres already enough negative press about dark web transactions and terrorism funding, now crypto being used as payment for a seedy porn site?

I think this is a good development for PornHub and also for cryptos but it is not going to change much of a thing. In order to help cryptocurrencies and specifically Verge a lot of people have to use it on P-Hub so that it creates a big impact and the price rises. Even though this is not going to change the market of cryptocurrencies a lot right now I think it is a very good thing that big companies start to trust and also use cryptocurrencies for their payments. Yes now that is called as real use of the crypto currencies isnt it. I mean we can just buy verge somewhere and then get the premium membership on these websites. Pornhub being the giant porn site I am sure it will or it might be getting good response in terms of verge. The only thing is, why verge is still not up yet. I also think that this is a good cooperation, but today I saw that the VERGE  rate fell by almost 25 percent. And a bit surprised, but I think it for a while! Of course, many people who heard about such a partnership decided to sell their XVG coins. PORNHUB has a hardcore audience and I think it's a good partnership.

This is a grant update for PornHub because a lot of people have been afraid or probably just ashamed to pay for pornografy using their credit cards or PayPal account because this would appear on their transactions. By using cryptocurrencies people can now pay anonymous and have privacy which is great and it helps both industries of cryptocurrencies and pornografy since you have only benefits. I think this is just the beginning and soon every pornografy website will add cryptos as a payment method since people need this

The verge-Pornhub partnership isn't really what everyone was expecting. That's what led to the disappointment and dump that day. The partnership announcement was just overhyped. Verge fans were hoping for the Mastercard, Visa, PayPal, Microsoft, Google kinda partnership. I believe with Time, people will get used to it. This might just be a blessing in disguise for VergeCurrency. If not immediately, In the near future.

I disagree with that line of logic.  Consider how bitcoin was adopted at Newegg and Overstock.com.  It is not the sense that bitcoin would be the only currency accepted.  It was more the impact that bitcoin was gaining legitimacy.  This is what we need: more cryptocurrencies accepted across the wide spectrum of e-commerce outlets.

The adoption of any legitimate cryptocurrency is important.  And I say "legitimate" because it would be a huge mess if say bitconnect would have been accepted as a payment tool at some large retailer and then turned out to be a fraud.  That's my biggest concern and this is why security is so important.

Anyway, I do not really believe in them after the recent hacking, besides among the anonymous coins there is a lot of competition, and I do not see any special advantages for XVG.
