Title: New Dragonmint B52 miner from Halong Post by: philipma1957 on April 17, 2018, 03:05:45 PM Forgot to mod the thread so I made this one old thread is here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3338355.0 I got one of these a week ago https://halongmining.com/shop/dragonmint-b52-blake2b-miner/ Sold out right now It is mining Sia coin at siamining.com and sometimes nicehash.com It is a mofo beast 4.20th! https://i.imgur.com/07qqOoy.png https://i.imgur.com/4aMXOzx.png I want to moderate thread. Title: Re: New Dragonmint B52 miner from Halong Post by: philipma1957 on April 17, 2018, 03:09:33 PM So 4.20th is higher then the spec of 3.85th How are the fans the temps and the watts? its just showing in the webinterface, on siamining average hashrate is 3.77 GH/s for me @ yankees this miner has one speed setting full speed ahead. The Dragonmint T1 has firmware upgrades from-ck slow = Efficiency medium = Balanced fast = Preformance. The B52 does not have the firmware upgrade for that. So it just goes fast. This makes it loud and it uses about 1475 watts on a Myrig psu. But it earns good money. -ck told me that a firmware upgrade may be coming for it. he does not do alt coin software but he believes Halong can adapt his firmware without him. For now this miner is earning me 3200 sia a day on siamining that is 3200 x 0.00000227 = 0.007264 btc a day or $58.85 usd a day power of 1500 = 36 kwatts or 3.60 usd a day at 10 cents $58.85 - $3.60 = 55.25 a day. that would be 30 x 55.25 = 1657 usd a month @ vinci it varies on both nicehash and on siamining it gets up to 4.2 and down to 3.6 on siamining it goes from 2.5 to 5.5 on nicehash. https://www.nicehash.com/miner/146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3 Mining stats ALGORITHM ACCEPTED SPEED REJECTED SPEED PROFITABILITY Scrypt__________ 0.00 MH/s 0.00 MH/s (0.00%) 0.0000 0.00000000 CryptoNight______ 0.00 kH/s 0.00 kH/s (0.00%) 0.0000 0.00000000 Equihash________ 11809.60 Sol/s 0.00 Sol/s (0.00%) 0.0039 0.00909182 Sia_____________ 3752.94 GH/s 0.00 GH/s (0.00%) 0.0064 0.01683962 CryptoNightV7____ 0.00 kH/s 0.00 kH/s (0.00%) 0.0000 0.00004709 Total BTC 0.0103/day Total USD 83.58/day Phil nicehash has almost no hashrate. I will be downloading first of multiple videos on this unit. youtube. Buysolar my partner in mining has the antminer A3 HE GETS 800-900GH WITH 1000-1100 WATTS THE B52 GETS 3.8-4.2 TH WITH 1475 WATTS This is total destruction of bitmain. This has not been done to bitmain until now. I am thinking this means a shift in the world of crypto such as we have never seen. 1100/900 = 1.2 watts a gh 1475/4000 = 0.368 watts a gh This is total destruction of bitmain. This has not been done to bitmain until now. it about time. But Bitmain money maker is the Bitcoin ASIC's and they have not released any new ASIC for that in 2 years. Most likely they are have been working hard on it but has not released it as there is no reason. Same as Nvidia doesn't need to release any new gaming cards until they have to. But once something comes on the market Bitmain will respond in a few months with a much better miner. Title: Re: New Dragonmint B52 miner from Halong Post by: philipma1957 on April 17, 2018, 03:20:40 PM at Etherion well I agree pitman is a very powerful company in this game.
But bitmain mocked this company when it first came out can't find it but it was insulting the Drgaonmint name. I wonder if they knew that these miners would be really good. here is the stats page from siamining https://siamining.com/addresses/c87f730a699cd614d7042fddb7d6ff1aea907d1e34d86dd8bc66527d133b936c6c6abf4b1e49 you can see the april 16 to 17 numbers pool side where over and under 4th like 3.75th to 4.20th Your video will be live at: https://youtu.be/Sbh213G2cbs video will be up in a few minutes I am using a MyRig psu and 240 volts power Title: Re: New Dragonmint B52 miner from Halong Post by: generalt on April 18, 2018, 08:08:46 PM Interesting. So the B52 works on nicehash? Maybe I heard wrong but I thought that I read that the Bitmain A3 didn't work on nicehash not that it really matters since there's only one coin to mine.
Title: Re: New Dragonmint B52 miner from Halong Post by: philipma1957 on April 18, 2018, 10:06:50 PM Interesting. So the B52 works on nicehash? Since at 3500 cost and 50 a day after power that is a 70 day roi 7 x 16 = 112 th that is 7x T1 116 th is 62usd a day before power but 7 x 1500 = 10500 watts which is 252 kwatts a day so at 4 cent power that is 10 bucks so one of these right now earns better then 7x T1's since most of us don't have that power price. Title: Re: New Dragonmint B52 miner from Halong Post by: philipma1957 on April 23, 2018, 04:14:31 PM Okay this miner would run a bit hot and fans were always maxed.
shit no name fans Model: KBE-FAN -12038M 12 VOLT 3.9A KBE So I got some SAN ACE Model 9GV1212P1J091 12 VOLT 3 AMP right off the bat power use dropped 25 watts and temps are now ---------------------------------------------------Temperature 1 1.42 TH/s Alive 23712/0 1027--- 61℃-74℃-85 ℃ 2 1.42 TH/s Alive 23655/0 868---- 61℃-73℃-87 ℃ 3 1.42 TH/s Alive 24007/0 1157--- 55℃-71℃-83 ℃ Wires needed to be switched I will photo the san ace specs to https://www.amazon.com/Sanyo-Denki-SAN-Ace-120mm/dp/B00QWB1X3O 12 Volt 3.0 AMP 120mm Frame Standard 4-pin PWM plug 224 cf/m maximum airflow I paid less from this seller on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sanyo-Denki-120mm-x-38mm-Ultra-High-Airflow-Fan-224-CFM-4-Pin-PWM-9GV1212P1J091/111944992146? you need to switch the blue and yellow wires or it runs wrong. oem correct wire order https://i.imgur.com/uSWOsvO.jpg fullsize https://i.imgur.com/lb1JZqg.jpg san ace wrong order https://i.imgur.com/fjlbyuY.jpg full size https://i.imgur.com/4cxjxdD.jpg two fans side by side the san ace is quieter https://i.imgur.com/SoU4FiS.jpg Title: Re: New Dragonmint B52 miner from Halong Post by: TheYankeesWin! on April 23, 2018, 04:44:50 PM That seller is asking a lot for those fans phil.
Title: Re: New Dragonmint B52 miner from Halong Post by: philipma1957 on April 23, 2018, 04:45:42 PM Yeah they are about 50 for a pair after shipping he raised price.
I got 4 for 91 and earned 7 in ebucks so I got them at 4 for 84 or 21 each. But the B52 earns 50 a day so a dead fan means I lose 50 a day. I now have spares. Also I am cooler 3-4c I am quieter 3 db I use 50 less watts that is 1200 watts a day or about 14 cents a day so in 300 days that is 42 bucks. which is what 1 pair cost. Only thing I see is from your screenshot of the webpage, which shows 85/85/86 for the max temperatures. Beside the power save, did the sanyo denki make any difference temp wise? I notice the miner shuts down if max temp touches 99 or 100. Across several b52s, I'm already close at 96 on one and 94 on other two. Looking to sort out these fans before summer. I would like to flash it back to the original firmware. Let me know if you have it. Thanks. I'm having the same issue. My GUI says 4.25TH but Siamining is telling me 2.9-3.2TH. Autotuning never stops. I can't imagine it runs at the correct hashrate if it's always in tuning mode the whole time, maybe I'm wrong. To clarify, I'm using the S11 from Innosilicon but I'm pretty sure that doesn't mean anything since it uses the Dragonmint firmware. I get average 4.2 gh on siamining for 24 hours. It still runs hot and fans remain at 100% but the hashrate is so much better on pool.
Title: Re: New Dragonmint B52 miner from Halong Post by: paddyj on May 22, 2018, 02:47:51 PM I can confirm, not that it matters. The S11 Firmware from Innosilicon works on the DragonMint B52 and appears to provide a noticeable increase in the poolside hashrate. It also doesn't get stuck in auto-tune so you can crank up to performance mode if you want.

Title: Re: New Dragonmint B52 miner from Halong Post by: paddyj on May 29, 2018, 05:53:06 PM No, it was the Halong update that caused the problem. I haven't seen a new firmware update for the B52, but that could also be because I have the S11 firmware installed now. Halong hasn't been great at communicating when firmware updates are released.
