Always want more. So it's okay to be forever unhappy. It happens because you feel the lost profit always.

I think it's not a big problem :)). If you're satisfied with what you have, I think it's really bad. If you're satisfied with everything you have, you'll not do anything to earn money anymore, you'll stop learning, stop exploring to get more knowledge about trading or anything else in this crypto world. Don't worry about it cause I think there are a lot of people is also the same like you.

I think buy or sell is depend upon the condition of the market.
Good enough if you buy and sell it in a good price which you have good profit from it.
As I've experience from buying and selling of tokens. I advise you to buy them when the price are downed, and sell them if you see that you will have some profit.

Well if you sell your holdings and then the token moons, its natural to feel as if you made a mistake, the same with buying too early/late or something similar. It is much less stressful if you hold your tokens, the ones that you believe in strongly and ignore the fluctuations of the market.

 I'm always unhappy, I always want more. On the one hand it is bad, but on the other hand it stimulates me. I made some mistakes earlier this year. I was buying coins when they started to fall in price, but it was too early. Before that, I bought and sold coins with a minimum difference. Of course I won in the price, but it was so small compared to what I could get if I waited longer. The main lesson I learned from all these surgeries is to be patient!

This is good topic, if buy and sell is good or not. I can possible say that it was good and it wasn't.
Why ? Good, because you can earn more profit by doing buy and sell tokens other than doing bounties and airdrops. Yet, it wasn't good if you loss some of your capital by doing buy and sell.

Good - because the token you bought was around .1$ each and you sold them for doubled or even more of that price. Means that your buy and sell is in good term.
Bad - it was because the token you've bought wasn't have value anymore or let say you bought 1 token to .1$ and when you sold them, the price downed to .001$. You capital will lessen and you will feel bad and regrettable because you think that the token you bought is a shitcoin.

In my own experience, doing buy and sell is good. Why ? because I only buy bitcoin or ethereum, those two have their legacy and trusted coin. I bought them when their value I think reaching the lowest for this year, example Ethereum, I invested my 400$ when its value was 365$ each. And now, the price of each eth was 500. I have some profit from it.

FOMO or the “fear of missing out” kicks in when a coin rises and gets us all. Emotions are hard to control. Especially when looking at returns of altcoins. FUD or “fear, uncertainty and doubt” kicks in when a coin crashes. This too plays with emotions, and you're left scrambling to dump your position.
A very expensive lesson, but a valuable one; don't let your emotions control you.

Did not quite understand what exactly is causing your displeasure? Are you not satisfied with the state of the market or your trading results or are afraid that you can miss out on even greater profits? In all such cases, I prefer to take a timeout to calm down and have time to analyze the reasons for my anxiety. Maybe even do other activities or rest.

Maybe because you are picking shitcoin,you should have done your research before investing to anything in the market because you might be picking shitcoins instead of solid coins ,that is why you are not gaining good amount of profits as you have worthless coins,that is why we always need to do researching before investing into something.

You are picking shitcoins im sure,its either you are too lazy to dig up some information about the project or you are just picking your shitcoin investments randomly,that is why you cant get good profits from your coins.If you are researching it will be much profitable,especially when you are  a long term investor,you shouldnt be selling at loss.

I think you're taking it out of context. OP was hinting at the impulsive nature of his trading, which obviously is a source for concern as such moves are not backed by studies and researches, so it's problem no doubt. Money making through any venture, requires a systematic approach, other than that, the work hardly get done. I guess you shall be needing to discipline yourself a little bit, so you can ward off over trading and the attendant fatigue and lose of money that goes with it.  

I used to know of one great mistake in the cryptomarket and it was that I dilly-dallied for way too long, when I would have gotten Bitcoins at giveaway rates!

Main mistakes are putting all eggs in one basket, losing patience and abandoning your trading plan. If you stick to an emotionless plan, you usually come out on top

Because you arent doing your research that is why the outcome of your investments isnt going to give you good profits,if you really doing your research before getting into something im sure you wont be investing to worthless projects! You could be making a lot of money when you have picked the good potential projects out from these bunch of shitcoins.

I dunno man, kinda feel the same. Sometimes after selling or buying coin im not satisfied with my decision. But i do some game with that coin, do gambling for example even though i lost i feel happy.

In my opinion, nobody can start and finish a trading with the best profit. I think the main mistake in the cryptomarket is that, just focusing on the extreme points of a coin's price.

Because you have been investing to shitcoins! you might not be doing your own research before investing ,these shitty coins/projects can be avoided thru researching so you wont be wasting your time and money with these coins,and im sure you if you have invested to solid coins that has a lot of potentials you are going to make a lot of money in the near future.

Honestly, I really hate gambling. it is not useful at all. I also often feel dissatisfied with what I've been selling when times change and prices grow again, I think we just need to further improve our analysis

You mean that you are satisfied with your profits? If yes, then that's a sign that you are too greedy mate, sorry to say. If you are a day trader a good margin of profit should be set, because we all know how volatile this market is, so if you are really looking for me, sooner or later who will hit a bad decision so its better to stick or at least take a good profit and you are good to go.

Main mistakes is pretty obvious, Don't be greedy. Write down your entry and exit point and don't over extend it. Its risky out there, so its better to make some profits instead of getting into negatives. Goodluck on your trading journey.

I think if you want to buy or sell should see the market situation, and read the chart. but if you are a newbie better believe in yourself do not be influenced on the words of others

I'm a little less than a year in the crypto market and I understand more and more that it is very different from other markets, predict the future it is too difficult level!

Every good investor and trader has their own system,you should be starting to learn how to trade with technical analysis becaus trading or investing blindly is suicide and it wont give you good outcome! you should be more focused in doing research before getting into something so that you wont regret your investments,you should be fine spent more time of digging up informations.

When price increased and I didn't sell, because I was telling myself "wait, the price will increase a little bit more" and later I got fucked up badly.
This is the mistake I have done several times and it seems I never learn from the previous same mistake. For this mistake, I'm hodling so many shitcoins for years now.

You should be picking good coins ,shitcoins wont give you good outcome even if you waited months to years,you should learn how to trade with technical analysis so you can maximize what the market is offering to us.You are going to have more effective investment if you are doing some info digging so that you will be sure that you are holding coins which has potentials to grow.

One of mine is a case of procrastination. I would say: I will do it later, and later is too late already, I would regret then. This is really bad, dont do this thing guys!

many people face such issue , when they do sell they worried of pump .
if they buy then they worry of dip or fud ..
one need high patience level to tackle our emotions otherwise emotions will ruin the game .
just do little bit research before buying or selling and then after taking decision dont worry too much .

My main mistake is greed, trade with a cold head and never give in to greed. This is my advice for you

You arent going to have a good investments if you are not doing your research,as we can see theres thousands of shitcoins and shitprojects in our community which is why scams are all over the place.Trading isnt simple as buying and sell,you would want to learn some basic technical analysis so that you can more accurate with your trades.

My biggest mistake is that I often hurry to sell coins when I can wait, and the rate often increases after that. So do not hurry..

Buying from the peak,and selling at the bottom this is the common msitake of the people,weak handed people are always going to lose their money because most of them are selling at loss whenever the market has started to fail which is wrong because you can earn take the loss back by holding your coin.You should be using technical analysis as well as fundamentals so that yu can win your trades accurately.

We are never satisfied with any decision we making concerning buying or selling you know why ?, because we are blinded by our greed, we are always aiming for more and more, our love for moeny is what makes us do bad mistakes and it is always what makes us regret doing the right ones, in cryptocurrency the price is always going to change so we have to stick to our choices and stop letting our greed control us.

I find it hard to understand you still have such issues considering your rank. You should have gained some experience by now. I had such indecisive approach at the beginning, doing my first trades. After some time in Crypto I'm slowly getting more confident and I do less and miner mistakes.
The biggest mistakes I did were trying to day trade on pumps. Then I couldn't wait for profits and I sold under price. I learned by now opportunities will always be there, just make decisions carefully and planned not in a rush.

Don't be too greedy, as long as you make profit and able to speculate correctly then you should be happy and satisfied, don't expect then you can get huge profit in every single trade, the most important thing in trading is keep on learning about the market and increase your skill

Greed will not help you to become a pro trader. What you experiencing is greed. you want to force the market. Wait for a signal to buy or sell and you will be satisfied.

It doesn't matter if you commit mistakes, it's inevitable. You'll just have to learn from it. Investing is never easy and you just have to make sure that your minimizing the risks your going to do. Make some plans and setting a good strategy is also a key. Don't be in a hurry and learn step by step, don't ever be greedy because it will only lead you to your own downfall. You'll be satisfied when you earn and gain a profit with your hard work. Our market is unpredictable so you better prepare for contingencies.  

My main problem is when I do not know when it is good time for me to buy or sell. When the price drops, I do not want to buy because I am afraid it will drop to a even lower price. And when the price goes up, I do not want to sell because I am afraid the price will go up even higher later, then I will not make enough profit.

That is true, greed is the worst way in the world of cryptocurrency. We will always be dissatisfied when we make a profit. Because we are sure, we will benefit more from it. The solution is, learn more the thing that we have passed, with greedy we will only get a loss, not a profit. And the most important is 'target' of every we will make an investment or trading we must target the price we want. If the price has reached the target do not think to get more profit, but we have to sell it. Remember, the price is always changing we can buy it back when the price goes down.

Oh, I always doubt buying and selling. I really wanted to buy one coin. Then suddenly it began to fall in price. I succumbed to emotions and bought in a very large amount. Then the market fell as a whole. It was a good lesson. Do not give in to emotions and your strong desires.

There is a saying that a problem known is half solved but I sense you're yet to spotlight the main reason you're yet to get your head around when it's probably a good time to buy or sell your coins. Bottom line is, you don't go to work leaving the tools to enable you work effectively at home or throw them into the trash. Trading is an art that is knowledge based and its acquisition is inevitable for success.

Learning to trade, I realized that the first thing you need for this is to be able to cope with your feelings, especially the desire to get everything at once!

As far as i understand you want to get a stable profit with every dollar invested. Unfortunately, this is not possible, especially in the current state of affairs.

Greed. Like this is the main thing that is so satisfying when I trade my altcoin but ends up unfulfilling at my end. I tend to observe the market even more now than just keep selling or buying. Using technical analysis prove quite an aid for me knowing where could be the segment of the market lead soon or this period. It is a bit complex to understand the market but pretty sure adaption will take place and greed won't be an issue now on when you adapt. Don't let the emotions get into you when market falls. Remember that it is the instability that drive us into this kind of mood.

Let's think together, can it be good if you are constantly on a minus? Maybe the author of this thread is a perfectionist. If so then it isn’t a surprise that he dissatisfied with his results. Cryptocurrencies are very unstable. You don’t know what to expect next time.

I am always satisfied with my purchase and sale. This will make me able to keep my head cold so that I do not get too emotional when trading. That will get me more benefit instead of cutting losses

It's depends on a price of a coin if it is low or high, because if the price of the coin is low the one that you need to do is buy and wait until the price increase and if it is high and if you think you can have a profit, the one that you will do is sell.

You can not take more risks than you prepare for a loss and before deciding to trade, make sure that you fully understand the terms and risks you are facing. because I've felt the loss ;D

If you not satisfied in your investment don't buy you must listen the market status and gain some knowledge in Crypto investment then invest a right time and right project. Already you have some cryptocurrencies you should hold for six months because all the coins growing slowly so it is reach higher value in September or October. The main mistake of Crypto investment is cheap altcoin investment because we don't predict the future possibilities of cryptocurrency.

On this particular business, mostly people here are not contented on their total income, and on my own observations that mostly my friends who already here in crypto business, for almost five years, and they already have a large income on cryptocurrency business but still they are not contented. So meaning all of us are not contented of what we have now today, because if we are already contented we already stop on accessing crypto business.

If I’m understanding you right, it sounds like you may be over trading. In an effort to never miss out on the next big gainer, you are constantly buying one thing and selling the next while chasing the pump. Often times, you’ll be better holding one of the top 5 coins and just waiting it out. It’s less work with generally less volatility.

Hodling for too long is a mistake if that crypto is not a great project. It is better to buy and sell or trade on some legit exchange. And also buying coins that are driven by hype news is not a good thing.

Don't chase profit or all time highs, let them come to you. To be able to do that make decent trades and trade calmly.

In order to have good results, you should be investing only in top coins that have a low price or whenever the price gets low. Only sell coins if you really need money and if not just keep on holding since you followed my first advice. So far, I haven't experienced any mistakes in crypto since I haven't invested in coins. So far, I think I am just prone to bounty scams but with enough research, I can avoid those.

You probably have too high expectations from buying coins, and without seeing the results, you start resent. This is normal, but it is better to treat investing as a simple job.

You’re always selling. Whether you’re pitching a new concept to investors, a potential partner to join you, or your board on a risky strategy, you’re more or less always selling something. And if you’re not aware of that, you’re not going to do the right thing to ensure your best chance of success. Truth is, the selling belief affect to you.

When you bought it, how long did you wait before selling it? If it only took you weeks, it can be understable why you are feeling that way. If you bought some coins, wait atleast 3 months or as long as you feel that you already have the profit. Never be in a hurry.

Give a little, get a little. Selling is a game of give and take. If you do it right, you give a little, get a little, and repeat the process over and over. You buy or sale is full dependencies.

So you do not have to doubt, you need to make a strategy of trading and investing, and also develop your own time / risk management  ;)

Being unhappy with yourself is a factor that everyone has. You do not need to worry about that. If almost all people are the same, it is not happy anymore. I see you have ambition is very good.

We can't always buy at the perfect time or sell at the perfect time, which means there will always be regrets regardless of when and how we sell our coins. You could buy coins at a low price now thinking you bought the bottom and then the price ends up going further down, it is no fault of yours because there really is no way to predict the price of the market and how it will move.

Satisfied, that is one way to more eager to make your dreams come trough but their is a negative work about that we can not satisfied on wat we got. Be patience have more faith that may be someday you fulfill your dreams

I get it. I am sure you are confused with few instances that keeps happening all the time with us. For example, when we buy then the price goes down and we start believing that we should have waited more so that we could have gotten the coins at lower rates. Same thing happens when it comes to selling, we see and the prices start rising huge, and it hurts the most as our profitability could have been more but we sold early and then it messes it all.
This has happen with me all the time and I guess it common here.  :D

Personally, I am really happy with how my investments are going.
I have made some mistakes, one huge one, but have learned from them and now have an investment strategy that matches my schedule very well.

So now, I not only get more gains but are more satisfied and enjoy trading.

The best thing about all of this, is that I recently did a full analysis and set up a trajectory for the last three quarters of 2018, and I am well on my way to my portfolio
being worth 600,000 usd.

The thing is, although I can give advice on how I do it, you really should analyze your financial situation and schedule, and build a strategy that is built around that.

I do not think that it's a good decision to always be dissatisfied with your deals.  If you bought and sold altcoins, and you are in profit (even in a small), then it is already a profit.  And you should rejoice in it.  And in the future not to rush, but first to study the situation on the market.

So maybe it's better not to do it? I know people who after a year still learning and still making mistakes. It's okay, but it shouldn't make you nervous, emotions have to be distant.

Expectations are always high its a common human nature. We always want more and more. We always wanted to sell our coin on top but its not possible because nobody can predict exactly where market stops. So we have to book the profit at some point. We can not be satisfied because greed of more profit. To get satisfied you should fix some profit in your mind so that you won't regret & be satisfied.

I buy low and thinking it will pump more then one day it just crashed down . EBTC is what I'm talking about now I am -80 percent :(

i will tell you my bigest mistake in crypto but please learn from it, i participated in a bounty program last year so i gor ton of tokens but as i was newbie in crypto so i sold them immidiatly in the received day so after couples months that coin grow x20 and i felt very sad and very hard feeling to see the number of usd that im expected to have if i hodl it :( but it was very great lesson for me that i learned a lot of things from it so please learn from me :)

I am regret that I sell many coins when the price is down. The price of the coins is high again so I am regretful.

The cryptographic market is constantly changing. Buy and hold back when the price is low, we wait until the higher price to sell to make a profit. But the time of selling new products is the core issue. This is a secret market that can be sold after a sudden increase in prices makes us regret or while keeping it that price keeps falling sharply, we are also very sorry.I think that don't, busy too many about that and  let's see if that's the reason why the market is so attractive to people.

I think personally you better sell altcoin that you have because now price coin go up and if you buy current altcoin price go up and you will not be able to get profit because if you sell altcoin you can get profit and good time to sell because of week to the week the price of altcoin continues to rise and is likely to be stable for the foreseeable future

Maybe you sell and buy at the wrong time. You sell when the price is low, and buy when the price is high. So you can not get the maximum profit.
Or maybe you are including people who have a feeling of never being satisfied, even if you already get a big profit? Yes, it could be, with you already managed to benefit from crypto, you feel like getting bigger than yesterday, and like that keep going.

That would depend on the situation, if the price of your coin had gone high due to bull market, then you sell it. Take time to buy another coin during the bear market where price might gone done. This is where most of the experienced crypto users do, buying at low price and selling the coin when it's high.
That should be the right way to earn profit on cryptocurrency.

Of course everyone knows this feeling.You sold - and the price rose. You bought it and the price dropped even more. It seems that I have earned enough, but if I had not slept for a couple of hours, I would have earned 10-20% more ... In the crypto this is easy. I try to leave tokens of those projects which are interesting to me technically, from the others I sell 70-80% as soon as I observe a growth of 50%.

There is no such thing as a perfect trader. If you are not satisfied then adjust a bit and make some changes. You don't have to catch everything perfectly because at the end of the day, what matters most is you gain an income, avoid a loss or at least minimized losses.
