Yes.  Price has gone down relative to BTC though.  Not sure if it's a good time to accumulate more.

I think we are starting to see most move away from the 'bad' alt currencies now people realise their price is not going to follow Bitcoins path, and they are instead moving into Bitcoin, Peercoin and Litecoin.  Imo its always a good time to accumulate.

Yes - tried to play the markets and got hit by a BTC price spike. Now the proud holder of 52.160337 PPC...

Breakeven is 0.00176102 BTC per coin.

Yes I have some. I think there is a good potential in PPC (and XPM as well) in the future.

Only problem for me is that peercoin doesn't have an exact finite amount of coins ever minted  :-\

Agree, it's a huge problem I think.

This is a common misconception about Peercoin. There is an exact finite amount. It's 2 billion. But that doesn't matter, it will never hit even 1/10th of that in our lifetime. Peercoin already has a lower inflation rate that Bitcoin. Within a few years the coins created by mining will be almost non-existent and most coins will come from proof of stake which will be about a 1% increase yearly.

Here is a graph.

No, I think Litecoin is a better coin to hold on...

No, I think Litecoin is a better coin to hold on...

peercoin is the most stable during this btc price spike.

ppc is benefiting from the first gen asic migration as litecoin once did with gpus.

so litecoin had its turn, now is ppc's turn.

ppcoin is desgined to give more coins to the people who already own all kinds , ppcoin fails bey desgin , litecoin is the real winner.

That's a common misconception. You can even mine Proof-of-stake coins if you only own 1 PPC.

Myth 9 - Peercoin (PPC) unfairly rewards the large coin holders.

Fact: “The proof-of-stake minting provides a service to the ppc network, so why shouldn’t those who provide the service receive some compensation? The rich and the poor are treated the same here,
both can provide proof-of-stake minting, and rate of income is proportional to their holding.

So you can say that the rich get richer, and the poor also get richer, at the same rate, so long as they both try to provide the service to the community. Meanwhile, those who transact in the network with high velocity pay the security cost via low inflation. - Sunny King”

basically you have to hold PeerCoin, lite coin, btc, XRP and soon Emunie

to diversify your risk.

I think that Peercoin will overtake litecoin, and even maybe btc, as peercoin strikes at store of wealth.

Why overtake? Peercoin is just a duplicate of Bitcoin right?

no its by far nothing like a duplicate PPC uses POS + POW not POW. The POS some argue make PPC much more suited to a high value chain. BTC may take up alot of M1, but PPC may take a portion of asset value eg gold, forex, balancing the nightly etc. In any event you own research is recommended

Nope. It is not a duplicate. It is an improved version of Bitcoin. I do not think that it will overtake bitcoin either. But, I believe it can be a stable and good alternative like Litecoin.

+1 jubalix, that's a nice diversified portfolio. I'm concentrating on Peercoin and eMunie myself (I got in and out of XRP before and made 400% but I'm sticking to these 2 for the long haul).
