One of the first noticeable effects of large-dose ibogaine ingestion is ataxia, a difficulty in coordinating muscle motion which makes standing and walking difficult without assistance. Xerostomia (dry mouth), nausea, and vomiting may follow. These symptoms may be long in duration, ranging from 4 to 24 hours in some cases. Ibogaine is sometimes administered by enema to help the subject avoid vomiting up the dose. Psychiatric medications are strongly contraindicated in ibogaine therapy due to adverse interactions. Some studies also suggest the possibility of adverse interaction with heart conditions. In one study of canine subjects, ibogaine was observed to increase sinus arrhythmia (the normal change in heart rate during respiration).[26] It was proposed that there is a risk of QT-interval prolongation following ibogaine administration.[27] This risk was further demonstrated by a case reported in the New England Journal of Medicine documenting prolonged QT interval and ventricular tachycardia after initial use.[28]

Always read the fucking side effects first, if you like the idea of getting an enema ( having something shoved up your arse while you receive the treatment ) or vomiting constantly then yeah, that may be the treatment for you.

Who's scared to vomit?  With psychedelics and hallucinogens, once (if) you throw up the nausea will normally be gone nearly instantly.  I'll try it one of these days and report back.

I know it's powerful enough to kick heroin addiction, maybe I'll use it for stogs.

Yep, even week of everyday vomitting is better than drag/alkohol addiction that destroys people bodies/minds/lifes.

You may feel out of your body but I don't think it'll completely restrain you from moving.  DMT is the only drug I know to do that completely, though it only lasts 10-15 minutes.

from what i have read, there are assistants who are supposed to take care of your "needs" and it's often reported that you end up shitting/pissing yourself because you have no muscle/motor function.

some people report feeling very uncomfortable and being unable to do anything about it. i'm not saying don't do it, all i'm saying is.. just be aware of the risks before partaking.

also: you can die from it.. those retreat in mexico require you to get checked up before partaking.

I just thought I'd say, I hate governments and conspiracies ruling us as much as the next person but doctors generally aren't ever the bad guys, they're scientists, it's like these posts I saw about raw milk, there's a fucking reason milk is pasteurised and it's to prevent diseases etc. from getting in it you wouldn't drink unpuriified water so why should anything else be any different? As I will continue to say from now on until I'm probably 70, there are three types of people you should always listen to in a crisis, doctors, scientists and mathematicians, there are all kinds of great pieces of advice that these guys give for politics and all sorts but everyone always chooses to ignore them in favour of the moron who promises people benefits and cash each month.

If a doctor tells you a certain drug is dangerous, fucking listen to them and if you don't understand ask them to explain it to you in simple English.

I saw a show about it, and it's interesting to say the least. It has terrible side effects, illegal most places, and hard to obtain. However, it really can get rid of addictions. IMO going through a few terrible days is much better than an expensive and life-endangering heroin addiction.

Yep that's the point. They forbid this but chemotherapy for people with cancer is legal... at what damages it does..

A doctor decided I should have highly neurotoxic chemicals injected into me against my will because he didn't agree with my thoughts.  Sure, maybe doctors have great intentions, but their actions can be quite evil.
