I now feel like I hit the trigger finger out of just pure excitement selling 200btc of them a couple weeks ago. Thankfully my btc web shops here on the forums have been building up my btc holdings again as I'm not selling any of the profits for fiat. I have been bit by the BTC bug once again! So you just found ~100K USD? Sounds like your lucky day :P It was great to reap the rewards, but I sold too soon and have been collecting as much BTC as I can for a bit now again. What I thought was a peak for a long time is no longer the peak of bitcoin and that is obvious to me now. Title: Re: I have BTC fever once again! 1) How long did it take you to sell 100 BTC ? Like from start to finish - 5 minutes? 3 hours as it went piece by piece? 2) Which exchange did you use to sell for USD (i assume) ? 3) Did the deposit into your bank account go smoothly, no questions from the bank? 4) Have you set aside 20% for capital gains? :D Title: Re: I have BTC fever once again! Good questions! I never have had any issues in bitcoin sales bank wires. Definitely consult your attorney on the proper course for taxation. But I imagine though bitcoin cashing out is a whole other issue and probably fairly complicated. I'm not sure where that lies for U.S. citizens residing abroad. |
