What sort of new additions would you like to see in the next big coin that benefit the community and bring forward crypto innovation?

What features and innovation should the next BIG coin have?

I don;t want to see any ethereum successor anymore, Ethereum can't handle mass adoption with it's current transaction per seconds speed.
Scalability is the main concern and Vitalik still in the process of solving this, I still hope that ethereum can overcome with this problem. There are already a few candidate of the "NEW ETHEREUM" in-the-making with higher than 1000TPS-400,000TPS. Some of this are Solana, Holochain and Quarkchain.

And in fact, they all only deliver a little TPS. We don't need such a big scalability if there was no demand to the platform and does your big scalability will be useful if there was no demand to the platform? it will be very useless IMO.
I guess to implement the scalability needs to be compared with how many demands that has been getting by the platform.

Talking about new additions in the cryptocurrency space, the issues of security is very paramount to the development of cryptocurrency so the next big release to benefit the community should improve the security features of the blockchain.

Thank you for the interesting post. I was not asking about Ethereum and its issues, instead I was asking about blockchain innovation. Before Ethereum there were no contracts so the team innovated and created a great product and function so what functionality will the next big coin have?

Next big coin should have a blockchain which will solve scalability issue. I believe it's ethereum. Because this problems is already solved on the paper. We know it as sharing and plasma. So, i guess now only thing left to do Is just implementing that technology but this in turn requires long-term development.

It may very well be the Holochain (HOT). One of the genesis Ethereum wallets invested for the first time since the Ethereum ICO and it was exactly in the Holochain ICO. It is different. Agent centric VS data centric. I believe it has some potential.

Long term development is the key to success in any feature. I hope it happens soon in a new coin and becomes successful.

Do not worry, we are still at the very beginning of development and it will take a couple more years to solve all the problems. Time will pass quickly. Now the main thing is not to panic and not look at the falling rate, because in fact, if you compare the capitalization exactly one year ago and now, you will see that we have greatly increased.

How does Holochain work? Who are the team behind it?

Scalability is not an innovation consider about the fact it can be solved anytime through doin hardfork and off-chain scaling solution. It's not a correct thing to be considered as the big thing. The majority of new blockchains are copycat from ethereum because they have no idea will be building in the future.

you don't even need innovation, just fixing the many problems that ethereum platform is facing would push your project to the moon. for instance the serious centralization and scaling issues that ethereum has thanks to its fast blocks, clogged network and gigantic blockchain which is currently over 1.2 TB!!!

i personally have high hopes for side chains that are working on top of bitcoin. for example RootStock seems to have a lot of potential. i would be basically free with no scaling issues and fastest possible.

Ok but what features will it have or do you think it should have?

Even if they deliver 400.000, it will never be at capacity. Also off chain transactions don't count.

I think a grand update will appear very soon, it looks like we have reached the bottom and are unfolding. And Buterin will soon announce the launch of the update and then exactly on the moon.

Hi, In my opinion, I think Etherum is now good, but the Etherum network is too slow and easy to spam! I want the ethereum to improve the current flaws, make it faster, less expensive, limit spam, increase security.

So what features would you like in a new innovated coin?

I think the most innovative cryptocurrencies on the market today are
ADA, EOS, NEO
If the market changes one day, then I believe it is because of the 3.0 blockchain!

There will not be a new ethereum. That is because no two coin is alike so lots of other coins will come out which will all be unique in their own way but they will not be like ethereum. Also NEO is already being referred to as the chinese ethereum so if we are talking about the new ethereum coming out, I guess its already here. It's neo then.

Well, If you think it's so simple, why still no one has solved this problems. Because it's not so simple.

What you mean? In order to make hardfork you should have a working and better technology to attract users and more importantly developers. Or you should be smarter than Vitalik Buterin. Else is empty words.
Off-chain?
Plasma itself representing a sidechain. It had been a year and plasma still under development.
Copycat?
Of course there's lots of projects who tried to present their own solution. As Igor Lebedev said, the one who will solve this problem first will be the winner in this competition.

What is Plasma when incorporated into blockchains?

With such a new smart contract platform, ethereum can bring more opportunities for a project to allow them to make a new token, a new project. But they ended up spamming the ethereum network by sending large transactions to distribute their tokens which make the network over-clogged and some people cannot send their transaction due to high gas fee.

Smart contracts are old news since Ethereum added them. What new innovations will the new new big coin have?

Well, to cut a long story short, Bitcoin's Lightning Network designed for fast and cheap payments.
So, Think of Plasma like a LN but for smartcontracts.

We will find out about this only when this happens.

Well, OmiseGo iirc are very active in the development of plasma. OMG wants to build a first scalable dex on plasma protocol.
Also there is several independent projects which aims to become a competitor to the plasma.

I think Ethereum will show very good growth for 2018. Now a great opportunity to buy the Ethereum is 2-3 times cheaper. There will be no replacement for this coin!

I am sure it will be in the nearest future because current cituation of Eth is not so confident as it was early. I consider that it's time to go p again.

Ethereum blockchain is having many problems. So maybe the next step for Ethereum is to find a blockchain solution?

i want to believe NEO is a little closer and could become the new etherum

I also agree with you that the new thing coming should be able to solve the issue of scalability as this is a problem in the crypto market and I am sure with time ethereum will solve this issue because they have plan for it and they should also help to work on the security issues  as this is also a major problem in crypto.

In fact, several coins have already appeared that could compete with Ethereum in the future. One of these EOS coins and a lot of people are now watching the development of this coin. It is now at an early stage of development, so it faces many problems, like Ethereum at the very beginning of its journey.

This question is similar to the question "Will there ever be coin replacing BTC?". BTC and ETH at this time like the king and queen. It is difficult to replace them.
The copper coin goes after, not mentioning the possibility that they can replace the ETH or not, but we are one of the potential altcoins. In my opinion, these are EOS, NEO, XLM, and ADA.

And why do you need a new crypto currency in which the shortcomings of Ethereum will be corrected. Better help fix all the shortcomings of Ethereum and try to popularize it. People do not need a lot of crypto currency, improve what they already have. Or create something that is completely different from existing crypto-currencies.

Features added from Ethereum, like faster transactions with the network.
Then by adding features like smart smartwatch based on Ethereum itself.

But what is needed is the speed of the transaction network from Ethereum and is trusted.

I think this post underestimates the king of the contract token.  I believe Ethereum will solve these issues and remain number 1.  They have every opportunity to stay the king.  The others have a huge hurtle to overcome as the 1st to the party usually is hard to dethrone.

I think that the situation with Ethereum will be the same as with Bitcoin. Many different teams claim that their coin will replace Ethereum, but in the end we see that no one has approached Ethereum and has become as popular, even those coins that have the best technical characteristics.

No second ETH coin appeared on the market, only the mainstream ETH is occupying the second place in the market, and I believe that ETH could be the top coin on CMC in the next two years. BTC can not compete with them

I can't make any predictions for this question. Current cryptomarket is not able to encourage development of cryptocurrencies so the arriving is unpredicted.

I don't think it will be the same as the ethereum da and no new ethereum. any cryptosystem and innovation of its own so it's certainly different if mutually equating ethereum system by another. Maybe there will be better than ethereum but with the system and new innovations.

I disagree. The crypto market is what you want to make it and development in and innovation are infinite.

Well nearly a year after my last post it seems the "new" Ethereum did not arrive, no other crypto came along with innovation to take on Ethereum. We still see XRP/ETH battling it out for 2nd and 3rd position by market capital. Currently it seems ETH hs won the the battle for now.
