Title: Forum addiction
Post by: pabloangello on November 16, 2013, 06:25:57 PM
Hi,
I am here just since few days (week or something around).
This forum is so addictive that I check/write/read it all day long and can't stop! Since a week go to sleep like a 3 am everyday, learned so much about crypto currencies and enormously like them! This is the future of our society and to be part of it right here right now is so excited. I want to learn more and more everyday. Even started to write android app - kinda exchange rate catcher with useful functions.

Do you share same addiction as I do right now?

How you handle it?

Too bad very little people are interested in a normal debate on different topics.

Mostly people trying to get some cash, and even if there is someone you can share your interests with - they are tired of reading all the important threads first to dwell in off-topic.

So you have a really unique opportunity to ignite the enthusiasm of people that really want to be part of all of that : ) go on

To back up my previous statement. Here is my time spent on the forum: 16 days, 13 hours and 11 minutes. Although, I don't think it's wasted as I have learnt a lot from this site. Plus I did register a while back so at least I haven't spent loads of time on this forum in a short period.

Feed your addiction I say, just not to the point of detriment :P  I'll check this site every hour or so, I consider it my break from whatever else I do in the day.  I'll stop coming here once it no longer serves my needs, but this so far hasn't happened.

That's the great thing about this site. Although, it eats up all my god dam time. It pays off by filling me with knowledge.

I think that our attention onto this forum would profit so so so so much in the future if we would use it wisely.

I'm sure people are already feeling the benefit. Answer a question for me? Would you know as much about Bitcoin if you didn't find this forum? Actually, would you be part of the Bitcoin project if you didn't find this forum?

I think that without this forum my knowledge would be much more smaller that it is now.

There were 2-3 times when this forum went down for a long time. It's like a total blackout. We should have some information about backup options (irc channel, subreddit, etc) stickied on a front page.

That's a good point. When the site went down I was unaware of any other places except reddit. but, because of the design of reddit hurts my eyes I lost all connection to the Bitcoin world (well pretty much).

And yes..I have an addiction.  It's okay though.

"It's okay though" famous words of someone with a addiction. At least it's a addiction to a online forum and nothing else right?

Well if you look at my posts, i do tend to post a lot in the 'gambling' section haha.
Though I did win quite a bit of money yesterday, so it isn't an addiction..unless you lose..right? lol.

Throttle web browser TDP bandwidth to 1kb/s. You will not be addicted for long. It may actually be a legitimate quit technique - some type of diversion/aversion combo therapy. Irritated by wait, find something else to do while it loads, end up forgetting about the page loading.

I troll.  Btc is almost 100 percent powered by trolling.

Btc is now $500. See how well i have done ;)

Last night was the very first time I dreamt about Goat. We got on an elevator at the same time, on our way to visit other bitcoiners. They were all there.
