It's a pity that I did not notice this project before. Tell me how much you managed to raise funds, and on what exchanges does the coin plan to trade?

The team members should be listed on the website. It's hard to totally believe when I do not have a good know about the team - that should be the first thing on the website.

There is no official information yet, but this project and the NKN have been sold out within a minute and it is difficult to own this coin. I personally have not been able to buy and are waiting for information to be able to buy NKN on major exchanges as this project will surely attract a lot of big investors in the future and we should prepare less ETH to buy a lot of NKN

What are the main competitors of this project nowadays if there is any? Always thought that the idea of the decentralized internet was a nutshell and this will change this big and important industry for the further development, but to tell the truth was thinking that this is more like the utopia. And was surprised when NKN announced that testnet preview will launch on June’16 and Mainnet launch also one quarter ahead of schedule!
What is this code about and what are the main conditions for the realizing this project to be not only a good idea? 

As long as I know there is no any competition with such technology. I also never heard about any other project which would want to solve internet issue. Plus Proof of Relay is like mining only anyone can do it with their router or mobile phone!!! This is game-changer.

NKN seems to have something unique in their platform.
But, why is the thread not active and only few users noticed the benefits of this project?

With so many platforms launched everyday, it is too difficult to follow each of them.
Researching and studying about the project would really take so much of your time.

But when I search through google for "decentralized internet ico" it gave me a dozen results among which was also one that really could be taken as NKN competitor - Blockstack.
Blockstack is a new decentralized internet where users own their data and apps run locally. A browser portal is all that’s needed to get started.
Will do later the comparative of both.
These two projects could not be much more different in terms of implementation or what they can achieve but is always better to do the deeper research on finding the similar goal projects.

I have checked that blockstack, it's solving other issue, but uses buzz word as decentralized internet. They are solving issue of app storage and servers, letting users store apps and connect together, being like API network. This is different project and is not even comparable to NKN.

NKN is about data transfer - connectivity and freedom from internet censorship. Basically everyone can monetize their internet connection giving other users freedom from censorship and also making internet truly open.

NKN is disrupting internet provider companies.

I highly suggest do deep research to really understand what NKN does.

NKN is unique, other projects focus mostly on decentralized storage and internet sharing. Even rightmesh is different, not even talking about other projects as filecoin (storage). NKN is about data transfer, not connectivity or storage! Please do deeper research to understand.

how i see it and from my understanding is that NKN is on alot of people's radar it's just that they see it as an experimental project and hence don't expect much from it ROI/invest wise so i think this is what seems to people like a lack of intrest

As a Turkish follower of this project it`s being shilled by Turkish Twitter people and the real value of the project is being understood by the TR people as well. THere is big oportunity on the project as per my latest researches. Ivan on Tech had an interviewed with the team and we could have chance to understand the use cases.

I have seen that NKN is first on the Binance community coin of the month contest! 580 voters and 53400 votes, with almost half of the total votes. Great news for the team, Binance will give the coin a great exposure. Sorry I have missed too this hidden gem, it has little exposure on this forum.

The two rivals Libra Credit and Mithril are in much doubt and may be excluded from the vote. I think NKN will definitely list in Binance because if you are a tech fan then this is a good choice. The NKN community is increasing day by day and I believe the NKN price may be a good price if we keep the moment. I personally invested 20% of my assets in NKN with great hopes

How will binance be able to tell that Mithril is manipulating nkn votes, it ends up looking like nkn is manipulating their own votes

The Binance exchange is really stupid and the winner is POLY. I was very disappointed with this and the vote was meaningless for investors. I personally put a lot of trust in NKN and MITH but when the results were announced I almost lost everything. If I choose a good exchange then I will never choose to exchange Binance a really stupid and unfair exchange.

It seems that the experts of the Binance exchange found irregularities in the votes from the communities of Mithril and NKN, and for this reason they excluded the two companies from the final vote, which was won by Polymath.
This has had a big influence on Mith's prices, which lost almost 50% in two days, but very little in NKN's prices, which remained more or less stable.

Also it is perhaps good not to be listed in Binance: excellent exchange, large volumes, fantastic support, continuous news, but ..... every coin that is listed after a first day of initial pump undergoes a collapse of several weeks.
Look at Polymath today, for example: after a 50% pump in a few hours it was immediately deflated and it has already returned negative, below its price yesterday.

When listed on a large exchange, the price of the altcoin will probably increase but it will only take place in a day and the next day everything will return to the original. I think the pump coin game from Binance Exchange is not over yet and many investors are losing a lot of profit from this. Personally I would not buy any coins that Binance list because it never brings much profit for everyone

As a network engineer and a blockchain lecturer, i try to keep myself updated as much as i can and when i first heard of this project i was impressed and even more after doing a research. I have my own startups im investing in and advising to, one of them is going in the blockchain direction because its the only way possible to implement it. This is a small exchange and does not affect the value of NKN. I believe NKN needs a lot more exchange to be able to improve this price because NKN is a good project and they should get the priority of the major exchanges. I hope it will happen because I'm a technology lover and will keep the NKN for a long time

Currenty NKN trading at it's Min price. Sad to see when such good project's falling to low. From enother side it's good time to buy some more tokens if you believe in project.

Progress is noticeable and can be seen that the team only works the price lower and lower. I understand that for you not in the priority to support the price, but when investor look at the stock graph, he clearly does not tell them that it's all good and you can buy. But rather it says to run away because you will get losses here.

NKN Javascript Open-Source Wallet

NKN just released and made open-source our Javascript Wallet this week.

The wallet is a JavaScript SDK that developers can use to get information, such as the balance of an NKN user’s wallet, and make payments/transfers to other accounts. It can also be used to build web and native applications that involve transactions on NKN blockchain platform.

The project aims to bring a radical decentralization to networking, much in the way that blockchain technology has decentralized computing power and Filecoin and IPFS have done with data storage, and notes that this is particularly important in the wake of looser net neutrality regulations that give networks owners greater power to control the data they transmit.

Nice article but it is in the technical nutshell more than ordinary :) Informative but I don't understand a lot of things. However I really like the idea of Decentralized Data Transmission Network which will be implement on top of the existent infrastructure. Thanks for sharing btw :)

They are a highly-developed technology company and their development team are working very hard to build this great project. I personally keep the NKN for long term goals because I believe that the current price of NKN is only temporary and certainly the price will increase well if their development team has new information on the project.

The First Bitrun Hackathon 2018 in Hangzhou

The first Bitrun Hackathon has been held from 31st August to 2nd September in Hangzhou, China, hosted by Bitrun Blockchain Community. This is a very good strategy for building this ecosystem. Is there any benefit when running a testnet node? Are the testnet tokens usefull or do they have value?

It's interesting, when NKN got away for a cause even competing alongside hundreds of other projects and managed to get away, this is a boast. given that the NKN is a fairly new project indicates that the NKN is a project that has a great potential.

I can't understand why they making swap from NEP5 to ERC tokens? As far as I know they were going to make own blockchain.. so why this swap? And when will be launched own blockchain? Where is gone roadmap from the site? I can't find...
And why price pumping today? Only because of this swap?  :o

I think this is a technology transfer. It's possible that switching from NEP5 to ERC is a foolish thing but if you look at the current market, the ERC is still a good choice for everyone. Personally, I still like the NKN to have its own unique technology and own Blockchain system, but this trend is decreasing because the value of all coins is decreasing so much recently.

the swap is to allow the token to be easily added to other exchanges. because most exchanges hate how the Neo side tokens works. and wont implement it.
so by switching to Erc20 tokens, it will allow easy access to bigger exchanges before the main net release in june.
overall its a good move, only if we do get on more exchanges, a lot more people would know and buy NKN if we were trading on Binance or Bithumb or any of the big ones.

Hmmm how can i find out if my node is working? I did all the instructions and it seems that its working, but how can i be sure :)

I had problems installing the miner, but after I reported a bug in Github it was fixed in a few days.
Version 0.0.8 worked fine and when accessing: http://127.0.0.1:8181/web/#/main from the same
computer wallet is installed to, I can see the walelt syncing and number of earnings there.

The only question which still remain nanswered is: Do tNKN tokens earned on test net have value?
Can they be swapped for normal NKN tokens?

This is really a big foolish... I can't understand why they moved to ETH if they going make own blockchain? Or they no longer going to launch own blockchain? In this way better to move on Tomo blockchain (as they have faster TPS and near zero transactions).

What "unique technology" you mean? They still don't have nothing as I know as product and mainnet not launched...

They will be swaped to normal NKN tokens, thats what i got from the Telegram chat. They already swaped a couple of times. However the ratio is 5:1 or better, with 5:1 being the worst case scenario. Thats what you can see on nknx.org.

I can’t understand why they swapped tokens from NEO to Ethereum blockchain, if they going to have own blockchain. Why this before mainnet?

I tried to deploy NKN full node on digitalocean (by 1 click install from it's marketplace) but blocksyncing get stuck according to nknx.org
Is there any trick with this? Or should I have to deploy manually?

Never happened to me, tried firing up 10 nodes, all synced great. You know you need to wait a bit in sync stait for the blockchain to sync, right? It needs to download around 3 GB now before it can get into persistfinished state.

I have just re-deployed and it is synced fine. This time I wait a little bit before I connected as root user. (In digitalocean you have to change password at the first connection, maybe it was the reason on my situation)

Are there any node owners here? How often you got rewards? I setup several nodes more than 24h ago, but no one reward yet.

It is very random. My first NKN block took me 2 hours, the next one took 4 weeks.

Tnx, I needed just indicative time frames to be shure that my nodes work fine.
So, as I understood, the frequency of rewards is almost not affected by technical aspects, but the location of the node influences.

It depends mainly on luck (maybe 80%), then on location (how many other nodes are close to yours) and then maybe network latency.

I can't understand, better location where more nodes or where less? Now I use VPS in Europe, but no one rewards yet.

From what I see the more nodes you have around you, the better. This is counter intuitive for me, but for now it looks like when nodes are closer (e.g. less latency between them) they talk between each-other more.

I think NKN is one of the few coins that made things right in terms of low coin emmision, good and innovative project, listing on big exchanges!

If the coin emission is low, someone can easily buy lots of coins and people cannot put a lot of cheap priced sell orders in, so price stays high and maybe gets even higher in best case.

The price pump, big amount of buy orders since it listed on binance shortly shows the success!

What 's the reward for the block found? If only one node receives a reward, you can wait a long time.
