There doesn't seem to have been any media FUD for a while and I keep reading how institutional investors are coming into the market. Is the bear market over and is renewed optimism coming into the market? It easy to see what is happening now as a new bull market but I've been caught out before.

the bear market may be over now but this "optimism" that you are talking about is not back to the market yet. it will come back when the big rises begin and it is starting to be late to buy back. that is when the masses start FOMO buying.

The price of bitcoin is now stable and with that many people are now coming back in to buy bitcoin. Stability in bitcoins value means that the bearish trend is no longer happening thus people are now tempted to buy more bitcoins before it increase in value again. Possibly we will be expecting 9k$ by next week so let us wait and enjoy huge profit.

I dont think soo i think everything could happen again and we will see bears again and price falling like before its small moving change.

From my own stand, the bearish period isnt totally behind us yet until bitcoin gets to the value it fell from. When it reaches the price range and able to overtake the $20k then the market is ready to be termed as bullish.

I feel the same. We were oversold according to the relative strength index and it just had to return to 9k which is right below 50% of the ATH. In the previous 2013 bubble we had a long period of trading just below half of the ATH. If I remember correctly it held for half of the 2014, but eventually began to find new lows. I'm not saying it's going to happen now. I'm rather bullish at the moment, but we can't rule out the possibility of going back to 6k. At least not until we break through the previous resistance of 9100 USD

The bear market could be over, but it doesn't mean that we're necessarily going to a bull market. I think that the cryptocurrency markets are going to go sideways for some time(probably a few months?), buts that's just my guess. Who knows anyway? Might just be another bear trap, we could easily go back to the $6000 price range.

They are quiet for awhile but they will come again and again we don't have to let ourselves be affected with those.
Being optimistic I'll say that it's over now.
Long time with correction and we are still far from the all time high. If you've been caught out before, take time to analyze it.

Don't worry the bear will be back in 30 days. That's when Google adsense's ban takes effect.

When the ad ban takes effect it's just that a few ICOs and platforms will not gain publicity through ads. That's it. It doesn't necessarily mean that when the ad ban comes that people will be selling crypto due to fear. It's just the ads. Not that significant if you ask me. People are making it too much of a big deal.

Well the current bullish run has been longer than the intermittent ones we saw during the great crypto depression and that maybe a signal the bearish market is over.Yes,alot of FUD has also been left behind and we can only hope it remains like that.

At every time, I think the bearish market is still with us. This is because it is part of the business.  It could not be permanent, forces are there to get it into another trend just as we have seen in this move up.

Its slowly pumping, well I hope it bitcoin can reach at least $9k this month. Almost altcoins are also pumping since last week and I think this will be a good start of a great year with cryptocurrency.

The bear market is only over once we decisively break above $10,000. We're a long way from that.

I agree with you, the bear period is not yet over, the stability of price is just for a short time, the bull is not run fast for now.

On the other side though all the people that get phised by clicking on Google ads for fake sites (I know somone who lost $2K on a fake shapeshift site) will go down massively. Which is a good thing.

The bearish sentiments started to decrease a couple of weeks ago. The tax reporting period in the US is over meaning the inflow of cash into the market is happening now. The bullish market to prevail as institutional players getting into the market. Barclay's Conglomerate to join the market, some other big players are entering the market by buying the exchanges in Japan. I believe the financial institutions will eventually buy all or most of the top exchanges out there to control and regulate the market. At last but not least, we can see the trade volumes are getting bigger these days. Therefore, big YES, the bear market is behind! Let's all go bullish!   

The bear market is gone, you can safely start to buy again. Before it was filled with bull traps but now there is a lot of support from big buyers so it is unlikely to fall below $9000 again. If it does it will just be a brief dip on it's way up above 10k again

Bear market period has ended. Now it's start the bull market. But the price are not going down or rise. Just stable in $9k. I think we just need more time for BTC to rise again.

There might be multiple opinions on the current situation but I believe that we are done with the correction/bear market and now things have started recovering. I am expecting a bullish run in the rest of the year and I believe that we will also hit a fresh all-time high level in this year itself. Institutional investors and big whales are still big factors to consider because the average investor is not matured yet to deal with the panic situations.

Well I hope, bear market is behind us now. If we are stable over $10.000 again, it is very likely that bears are afraid of it. Let's hunt some bears now, let them no chance to come back :)

I also think that the bitcoin price will rise as soon as the price increases and the current price stabilized, making me believe that bitcoin will be traveling again in the month.

The price is actually stable because there isn't any high trafic of coins , that's what make the price fluctuations and whenever demand is back for bitcoin again (which usually happens starting from the 3rd trimester of every year ) , we'll start to see the bull run and the price will be breaking new all time highs ( i hope at least ) ..
But nevertheless , the bear market can come back at any moment and the market can crash even in the middle of the bull run because of some stupid decision in Asia like what happened in China last summer when they banned ICOs and the market crashed by 30% in 48h..
Whoever was smart enough to invest when the price was low is already collecting profits and you can even re invest at this price because i'm sure it'll rise even more in the near future .

There is no guarantee about it.If some one starts spreading FUD again,tgen once again we may enter in to bear market.For now,there seems to be no FUD and negative news and so most of people have started to buy bitcoins due to FOMO.It has contributed to the price rise.

We can't say if the bear market is ended if the fuds is always existing other noobs go in panic selling. But I am optimistic that market will go in a bull run. Though the most questions is when, so no one knows when but I think it wil occur this year.

I predict June is the bearish market will end.

We are not likely to see bear markets in the forthcoming weeks as scam ICOs have seeming gone down significantly. Bitcoin price has been stable for a the past few weeks too; this makes new investors trust the credibility of bitcoin. The fluctuations are not overwhelmingly high too so it is not too difficult to enter the markets at any point in time. Bull market will definitely follow in the next few months.

Bear market was already end? How we can sure to that? I think we can't be assure that it will not happen again anytime because if we just remember the market movement is not stable. But there is a possibility that it can be turning into a bull market. Everyone are hoping that it will be happen soon so all of us will be happy for that because we can now finally reach our success. 

I guess the bear market is slowly fading out. I think it also did some benefits to us. sorting out real projects for real investor. Yes there has been FUDs but that did not stop the market. It just weeded out some weak hands that all ever did was to panic sell. It is the start of the bullish trend. Brace yourselves people, this one is going to change the game.
Media FUD also attracted some investors ( those  who did some thorough researches ) and have helped others to buy BTC durig its lowest.  Thank you FUD, now it is time to step aside.

yes it is already behind us now. bearish market should have done in Q1 usually.
now from Q2 - Q4 crypto may goes down a bit, but will goes up very often in market.

I think bear market may be over now. But you wonder why this will not return to the market again. It will come back again when big buyers, holders and users will be back in the bitcoin again. But I believe it will come back harder.

The prices look atable as of now which certainly means new and old users are getting back on bitcoin and possibly wanting to hit big again because the current price is quite stable and easy to get it.

This stability ensures no sudden crashes are on the way, and the slow and steady rise is good enough for long term investment. People are tempted to invest right npw.so that they dont miss out later on.

This probably also disintegrates bear system with bitcoins atleast for now and no panic selling is taking place any more. The trust is building again and so is the userbase.

No doubt that the market has taken an uptrend, and it's kind of looking promising. In my own opinion based on my analysis, i think the uptrend has not been confirmed yet, which i believe would be, when some certain coin's value breaks a certain range.

There seems to be more optimism in the market and many Youtubers keep saying that the bull market run is around the corner and it is coming in May and will be with us in the summer. Now because many of these influencers buy altcoins to make their multipliers in Bitcoin. I sometimes feel they are saying this in order to get more of their followers to purchase coins they are holding so that they can sell high then get the money back into Bitcoin. Once the bull run wanes they sell all their BTC into Tether and that is how they become big whales. I wish I could do this but so far am so unsuccessful in trading or buying into big multiplier coins early.

may be that because we  dont known how many members are involved and we will not know how many bits they have in their account, so there is a huge field behind us. Think about that happening..

as good as it may seem, hopefully, it would stay up. the bears went down for a very long time, long enough that people lost hope, but today there is light, i believe that the bulls would continue till the end of the year, at least.

Nope still the market is fluctuating i think we have to wait for few more months to hit the bull market. people are waiting for this movement but when that time will come that nobody knows. i think once the market will become stable after that the bull market will start.

don't be afraid just because bitcoin's price flash crash like that bitcoin is moving sideways with no trend. Its ok to be cautious its natural to protect your money but the market movement is uncontrollable the more fears we set the more it will pour because not all can be calm inside a storm some will really panic and will lose chunks of their money stories like that must be avoided and may not be repeated so we must learn when we will do our trades.

Seems we are back into the bear market. The recent dip this week which was massive today was like wind is very much bad and disheartening. This clearly shows that the bearish trend will be here for longer than we expected. Bull market might be later this year, that's if it will even come at all.

Although we are not seeing any significant increase in bitcoin price, but still the investors are hopeful and they are not selling their shares, i think that they will continue holding their bitcoin and will not create panic selling, i am hopeful that very soon the situation will become better and we will see a good bullish trend in the market.

The bear market just returned with the downward trend of Bitcoin at the present moment, which will definitely give a ripple effects on altcoins generally. With optimism, the market should bounce back in no distant time.

I don't think the bear market is going to end anytime soon. As bitcoin has fell so sharply for the last months Is a concern that this bear market is not going down now.

Yes, currently we are on bear market with a tremendous dip where btc had dropped from $7.6K down to $6.7K. People should not do panic selling since this will only contribute a negative effect on the market wherein supply could go high which will result to a massive down trend of btc and alts in the crypto market. Definitely, this will be an opportunity in buying btc and altcoins since price value is much cheaper this time. I am optimistic that this major dip would recover within the coming months.

It is not yet over, the bear is still lording the whole crypto market after bitcoin price fell down by almost 10%, its lowest in two months. The bitcoin might be affected by recent report that US regulators are investigating potential price manipulations at 4 major cryptocurrency exchanges. There is also a hacking incident in one of the south korea's crypto exchanges named Coinrail, that also affect the bjtcoin.

How I love when the sheep start panicking when the coin drops a little :D Sell it, guys, leave it all. The smart people will buy it. You shouldn't trade anything if your nerves are so weak that you can't see a 10% fall on BTC without armageddon thoughts.

Try to be more relax and stop checking the price every single day. Panic sell is the worse behavior a crypto investor can have.

The market now is so boring, Bitcoin on the way to 5000. The market now is easy hurt, just a few news will cause a big impact on the market and panic sell. If you're still have cash, can start buy from 6k and DCA if still down.

I think the bear market is still not over, I'm still convinced that the market will rise again, although no one knows when it will rise again, but it will happen this year just waiting for its time to arrive.

yes you are right it seems now bear market conditions are among us traders have a lot of that feel and now more and more news cryptocurrency hopefully there is a bitcoin price bite so bitcoin price increases price.

I think its what will keep happening. This year is a year for regulation and investors are careful of sinking heavy money into cryptocurrency. So its what we have been experiencing, dip , rise, dip, rise, and so it continues. But I hope after this year , we will be back to massive bull run .

We're just going round in circles, bear markets and crashes one after the other. Feels like someone is pulling the strings and they know what they are doing.

There has being a lot of FUD news floating in the market and anything can pop up at a certain time, so the short time growth is not my concern as the market is reacting to each and every news in the market and i am waiting for the real investments to come in so that we will have a push from this situation, the market is going down for some time and it is time that the bear market will leave us, but it might continue till the end of this year and then push on to go to another all time high in my opinion.

No wonder people will rush into it as they catching up the last moment of buying in low price. Rise will come next and people will waiting for that even it takes few weeks to come but still worthy for it. We are currently stuck from $7k-$8k range, we can see stability at that price for many days, most probably market are now preparing for another strike for the next month. 

Bear market is not new for bitcoin.It has been like this since 2011.Just a  temp. phase wchih will be followed by a bull market.Take this opportunity to do some bottom fishing and low and HODL

No i dont think so. Bear market is still around. As we know now bear price has very long scheme that make us very worry to our investment. Actually bear market that what people dont like from cryptocurrency but this should be taken as a risk and reward is waiting us.

The market behind us has so many faces, so many rules, Sometimes I feel they are saying this to have more people watching them buy the money they are holding so they can sell high then take Money back on Bitcoin.

Well we hope so because this bear market has really disturbed us all for quite some time but today the market has been green and i can see the display of the so called dominancy and supremacy of bitcoin. Bitcoin is indeed King of Cryptocurrencies.

The fluctuations of the crypto prices  is a normal, now the price are slightly increased then decreased again.
We did not know if what will happen and when the bear market stops. I hope before the end of 2018 it would be recovered from the dip.

Perhaps it has but it always pays to be caution in business. I am treating bitcoin like any other business,buy low,sell high,take profit. Then use profits to buy some more. At least the price is somewhat stable so definitely we would see a lot of buying pressure.

I wouldn't say that we are out of the woods because bitcoin you will know how this market reacts for every FUD and negative news coming along. And its impossible not to hear and read them everyday that might sway some newbie investors to push the sell button.

But I think this is the first time that we have seen started a week on a positive note and might end it as well on the green. Pretty stable around the $6500 range. Might be a sign that the bears are losing grip and bulls taking over, but I'm not that confident so let's see how it goes for next week if $7K can be touch.

I think that we are not on a bear market anymore, the market is slowly going up and everything seems to be good.

Does not seem to be.  2018’s growth trend has been not much promising to reach so high this year. The first half has been in favour of investors. The second beginning was satisfying but the growth again cam back down to $6K which is really not a good sign for a huge hike as like last year. There are very many reasons for this current market. Unpredictable still. 

The bear has dominated this market since January till now and I am not seeing a serious changes in the equation of things.  I have been following so predictions and speculations but notting has really changed.

Since this is a question being asked months the market situation remains the same. The bear market we are riding will continue as long as there is no clarity regarding the regulations and it will continue like this for some time, yet I am sure that the market will recover and so does everyone in this market for a long time.

I agree that we can't predict the current situation of the market, that's why we need to be smarter than ever before. This ain't a joke that were making fun of it, but a serious matter to focus on. We're liable for our future, because looking to the roller coaster behavior of the trend of the price, we're stuggling to reach even $10k this month. Still I do hope that bearish market will suppress though, so that we could see the stability of bitcoin soon.

Bear market will not be over because the prices are bullish so keep on holding your coins until it stabilizes to grow up because the market is depending on supply and demand.
