Title: Hi guys new here! Post by: kaivorth on August 02, 2011, 03:23:26 AM So I want to give this a shot, theres sooooo much stuff here. I read a lot of guides. Was hoping anyone with a 5770 can chime in (Hawx Edition). What is the most optimized setup for a single 5770? I don't want to pool, just solo mine.
Would I be able to throw in a 4770 as well and mine with both? GUI version would be nice, however I can work command line if that would be more efficient. Running Windows 7 32bit with AMD 11.7 drivers. Any help is greatly appreciated, I already read a lot of guides. I just want to find one tailored to a 5770 for best performance. Title: Re: Hi guys new here! Post by: trentzb on August 02, 2011, 03:32:07 AM No, you don't want to solo mine with 1 5770 (or 10). You may think you do but you really don't.
Title: Re: Hi guys new here! Post by: Dargo on August 02, 2011, 03:37:25 AM Yes, this is the first thing you should know about your card - it is not suitable for solo mining. Maybe if you had 100 of them...
Title: Re: Hi guys new here! Post by: dub0matic on August 02, 2011, 03:39:50 AM deffinately dont do solo its a waste of time unless you have lik 15ghash/s.
you can hook up both carrd but the 4770 would only get like 20mhash/s or something the setup i have my 5770 hawk is 950core/300mem with flags -v -w256 -f0 get around 220mh/s best of luck mining Title: Re: Hi guys new here! Guminer to slush or deepbit for the 5770, I doubt as if 4770 will do anything much, but test it, if more than 50Mhs then run it too. Best of luck! Title: Re: Hi guys new here! Post by: silverchair on August 02, 2011, 05:35:37 AM Don't go solo.

It defs won't be more than 50, i have a 5470 i used to mine with and it only got 16mh/s. Title: Re: Hi guys new here! I would. Title: Re: Hi guys new here! Post by: dub0matic on August 02, 2011, 07:01:35 AM It defs won't be more than 50, i have a 5470 i used to mine with and it only got 16mh/s. Like other said, solo mining is a big waste of time until you haven't a lot of power (with 15 GH/s you will take 1 week in average to find a block and get a reward). I propose you the BitMinter pool (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=27062.0) with a nice dedicated miner perfect for beginning without headache and a lot of command line miners and parameters ;) Title: Re: Hi guys new here! Post by: kaivorth on August 02, 2011, 12:03:40 PM You guys have convinced me. Pool mining it is. Best way to get the most out of my 5770 without overclocking (yet)?

avoid solo esp with your hardware. solo would be a colossal waste of time Title: Re: Hi guys new here! Post by: SYC on August 04, 2011, 02:18:09 PM added -v -w128 to the flag dialouge box and seeing 390 Mhash/s latest amd drivers and amd sdk 2.4 could anyone tell me an average time it would take to make 1 BTC from a pool I worked it out at around 200 rounds?
To the OP sorry to hijack your thread dude its not intentional and I hope any information I am getting is helping you out also ;D Title: Re: Hi guys new here!
