Title: self sustainability reading material Post by: Morbid on November 16, 2013, 11:12:37 PM hey. i was thinking of finding some descent reading material/books/articles/forums on living in personal energy consumption sustainability. i will live in a house in the middle of forest for a bit during cristmass so wanted to sort of see on example how could i improve energy footprint of the house if i was to live in one permanently. im sort of good with electronics, some building work, electrics. im especially interested in texts which teach some d i y kind off sustainability, the things we can do without investing heavily into something highly technological at particular moment. i just need to throw bunch of ideas in my head and then i'll start to invest on materials i can source through ebay for a bargain.

If not, that would be on the top of my list. A lot of self-sustainability is about mind-set and looking at behaviors that use less energy. Look for books by Gene Logsdon on homesteading topics - he has several and they're all quite good.
