But there's actually no way to know for sure. It's not like you lose anything when joining airdrops anyway, as airdrops should be free; unless you're handing over your private keys(which you definitely shouldn't).

However, because the crypto space is still largely unregulated, it very easy to get scam, like you'r already aware. So, the best advice anyone can give you it to take time and read up, learn about the market psychologies, how to research a project/coin, how to manage your exposure to risk/scam, stay updated with crypto related news,etc. It's takes effort and time, but the education will pay far more than the time and effort invested in it in the longrun . If you can do a research about that airdrop project, You can get an idea that airdrop is legit or scam.

Or the project does not exist at all... dont just blindly join every air drop you saw.... it will just make you cry. Haha
