Title: Any Advice on my Portfolio (Long - Term)
Post by: LogitechMouse on April 21, 2018, 02:20:40 PM
I am planning to buy some long term coins in the future. If you can share your opinions with my list of long term coins that I will hold for around 1-2 years (maybe some will be 3 years) then I will appreciate it. So these are my list of long term coins.
EOS
ICX
MAN
XLM
VEN
NEO
WAN
ADA
XRP
XEM
NANO - I'm thinking about this since I have read a news about it.

Note: I have disregarded BTC, ETH and LTC in the list because it will be automatically be picked as my long term coins.

Removed XVG and added XEM.

Thanks for sharing your opinion  :) :)

Not a bad portfolio, but I would add TKY, STRATIS and GLA. This is one of the most promising altcoins that I think will be successful this year.

i think you need to change that XVG because it went parabolic this day.
in my opinion it's all about time for it to make a huge crash because of it and some other problem(such as bug that happened with their system so people could mine it easily).
other than that i think everything is ready to go.

Most of the coins you are holding on your portfolio are actually good for long term so far because some of those coins, I have also on my list in my portfolio. Try to add some coins like XEM, SC and TRON too, I've heard these are substantial coins for long term investment too and you may want to add them on your list too.

I will try to do some research with this coin and will try to add it to my list. Thanks for sharing.  :)

Thanks for commending on my portfolio. I hope you will buy some of my coins too because I believe it will give me profits in the long term (except XVG now).

You should not make portfolio, it is not profitable just pick few coins appr 5 coins you believe in the most. I would suggest bitcoin and zeroex

You have a little bit mixed portfolio, having many different coins not helps to get more earnings. You should eliminate some of them and continue with 4-5 of them

It is a good portfolio and most of the coins are good choices. Cryptos are a superfast changing market so need to keep an eye on all your holdings. Not clear about why BTC, ETH and LTC are not in your portfolio.

I like these coins...
ICX

NEO

NANO

The rest, either I don't like them or not versed enough to comment.

Here's one to add to that pretty solid list. Looking for a project to get behind with a real-world application and some cutting-edge tech.

if in my opinion I will choose some of the coins among them NEO, XRP, XLM, I think this coin would have a high chance if held for a long time, and I also try to hold the coin for my own investment, hopefully what you invest from the coin coins above can benefit and be successful for all of us

It's good that you've already removed Verge. The coin is having too much problems and the devs shown that they can't properly handle situations like the hackers attack.

The coins I don't like in your portfolio are Tron and Cardano. Both are over-hyped and overpriced. And I don't see how the price will goes 5-10x.

Its a perfect long-term portfolio in my opinion. though you did not mention the weightage i would suggest you put more weightage on ICX, WAN and VEN. also have a look at AION its a great project on interoperability(icx, wan, aion have some sort of partnership in this). It was mentioned in palm beach report too as a long-term hold.

I really like the decision to add TRX over Verge. When TRX moons, like it did before, you may want to sell for some profits and put some funds into OCN. OCN is partnered well with OCN, and OCN has some huge plans/integrations in Q2 and the rest of the year. Then you could reinvest in TRX. Profit from the TRX pump, dont judt watch.

but i will suggest you to do swing trade , if not daily or weekly then atleast during good news of that coin you can sell and buyback at dip .

me too agree , TRX is over hyped coin , you can hold for this year but for 3 years i dont think it is that great .
also XLM have only 15% supply in circulation out of total supply , so increase in supply in future will also affect its price .

In my opinion EOS - yes, NEO - yes, XRP - no, TRX - maybe, btw people are short term-trading, right now with TRX, saw some signals about him, ADA - yes, about another dont know, never met. But i'm newbie.  :D

If you're planning on holding for the long term, I wouldn't actually recommend investing in EOS. Buy EOS if you are ready to unload as soon as markets go into a rally, because I don't see a lot of potential in the long run.

Personally, I would replace XEM and XRP with IOTA and XMR.

You want some scalability in your portfolio(IOTA) as well as anonymity(XMR). But overall, I think this looks like a pretty healthy and diversified portfolio.

If you are targeting a maximum of about three years and I think all the coins that you have been very good and I'm sure can give a great profit. the most important is always consistent and not panic with a variety of news is not good news about crypto.

I think TRX is over hyped...u can see whenever Justn Sun go livestream, TRX going to dip.
Only mouth of word, no actions...u can see he take a lot of narketing that giveaway free TRX. it not a real business.
I dont believe in it anymore, just trade daily

What sort of return are you expecting? it's a pretty safe portfolio which means you'll limit returns some what.

I would remove XRP and Verge, 50/50 on Tron and NEM also

Title: Re: Any Advice on my Portfolio (Long - Term)
Post by: Vannie12 on April 22, 2018, 09:56:51 AM
NEO and XRP are good ones.
But still try to research more about projects that support them and more coins that you have mention and I think try to have a maximum of only 6-8 coins including BTC, ETH and LTC.
Allocating in too numerous coins is a bit risky. Maybe try those which are already becoming popular by quality and being supported by great foundations.

I am also currently following NEM now and I am going about 40-60 on keeping an eye on it.

Too many coins and I think you should select at least 3-4 coins to make a big impact once they will mooning. I will choose XVG, NEO, ADA, TRX with these lists it's good for a long term investments. Although nothing is sure in crypto currency but with our research we can have a reference in our decision making.

I agree completely. Most coins valued over 1$billion+ won't grow as much as those valued between $10-100m so a better ROI if you pick a solid newer coin in early development as apposed to one that has already nearly the highest of it's value and has a lot to drop.

I'd add that XRP isn't really a cryptocurrency but most traders buy anything that is worth a lot without doing any research.

I can see all of your choices are really good. But if I were you, I would have invested in XLM, ADA and NEO only because I don't have enough capital to invest in all these crypto like you. LOL. If you have huge amount of capital can be able to spend in these cryptocurrencies, I think you should do it. All of them are really good and after 1 or 2 years I think your balance can x3 or maybe x10 :))

There is no issue with keeping this much variety in a collection but the problem is that these can’t give any good profits so it is useless to hold them. Much better would be to have only one potential con which can actually increase the capital of its holder. I would suggest bitcoin as the top priority and if that is not possible, Ethereum, Litecoin, waves or neo should be considered.

Why on earth did you remove XVG? With the bad taste the recent partnership with p-hub, there is nowhere else to go but up! XVG is currently oversold and without good reason because the partership with p-hub was actually a good move.

My recommendation is that you buy back some XVG as it is almost guaranteed to rise in value once people realize the partnership works.

XVG is currently oversold

Man, XVG costed 1 satoshi two years ago and its technology is totally same as it was two years ago.  Totally useless coin.  Sort of not worth even 1 sat.     If you want some btc clone take Dooge or LTC.

Tron is not a good option after all, it is full of projects that are worth it, but tron is an exception.

Congratulations, you have a great portfolio. Aside from Tron, I think you have chosen some excellent projects. Tron may perhaps always be great for a nice pump though.

QTUM is a MUST, everyone should be holding this coin on their portfolio if they want to be succesfull ones.

looks a legit portfolio. However, you should add some low marketcap coins that has a more room for growth . consider adding stratis (didn't explode at that end of last year) so more potential for it ,also COSS ,solid platform with alot of features.

Yeah, too many coins can cause your too much headaches but if you make time to study about those coins good for you. For me I better hold at least 5 coins that I strongly believe that can go high in the future and the rest I trade. Its all up to you, though I see some good coins on your portfolio like NEO and XEM but don't forget to hold some bitcoin. :)

It is temrorary..When regulation will come security tokens will be only the place where u will be able to make a profit. Thats why forlong term holding your portfolio must include at least one security token, IMHO. At least for the reason of risk diversification

Regulation is what does not go with crypto coins for sure. Watching ripple as the centralized one and being controlled by the authorities gives a good idea what the crypto market would convert into after coin regulation takes place. Hopes that never happen but for the acceptance of bitcoin and altcoins, this is the demand of governments. I would also go with including a security token.

I am planning to buy some long term coins in the future. If you can share your opinions with my list of long term coins that I will hold for around 1-2 years (maybe some will be 3 years) then I will appreciate it. So these are my list of long term coins.
EOS
ICX
MAN
XLM
VEN
NEO
WAN
XVG
ADA
XRP
NANO - I'm thinking about this since I have read a news about it.

Note: I have disregarded BTC, ETH and LTC in the list because it will be automatically be picked as my long term coins.

Thanks for sharing your opinion  :) :)

Hey mate, you did a great choice of coins, but i believe you were able to make a study before investing into this coins, but why not add CREDITS or CS in your portfolio, this one is the best so far, with the continued development from the developers, Day by day more coins has been traded and a lot of exchangers are coming up. I believe you should make a study on this coin also, because this is a long term coin i believe, but anyway great that you have decided to this coin for long term use. Good luck and best wishes
