Guys, what do you think about FIFA world cup 2018 which will be in Russia? Whether they will sell the ticket use bitcoin and altcoins? If yes, I hope the price will bullish. In addition to the tickets, we can use bitcoin for what else? maybe like hotels, restaurant, or betting? Can you add something else?

I think Russia want to make a statement to the world with the event and crypto will be a very useful tool to achieve that. Waves founder Sasha mentioned talk of a World Cup token a while back in one of the presentations, but never really clarified what it was about, so yea I think it is possible

Vladimir Putin said their country official should make bitcoin and crypto usage as legal before this June. I hope we will be able to see the option to purchase the tickets on online with bitcoins and few alts.
Then we may able to get the bitcoin ATMs on the Russia airports like Japanese done.
If the government did not make this as a legal one also you can use the crypto gambling for betting.

Football world cup is one of the biggest ceremonies in this globe. almost two-third population will enjoy this carnival at home and live. I think in this time, Billion billion money will be spent for this purpose so that Bitcoin also will be used at this time. for the gambling and trading Bitcoin mainly popular so i hope Bitcoin will be raised again in this football carnival.

Bitcoin might be got pumped so hard in 2017 because of those news,but did you realize that many people got stucked at the top ?
so i doubt something like this will happen(people felt afraid of it and kept waiting).
in my opinion,at best it will only bring us to around $15.000 no more than that.
because 2018 is the year for Bitcoin to recover some of its value,just like what it did before

The Russian government can legalize bitcoin, but this can't force a hotel to accept bitcoin payments , credit and debit cards are legal in all Europe for ages but there are still hotels where you have to pay cash.

It's not Kaliningrad who is offering services in Bitcoin, Kaliningrad is just the region, it's all down to that hotel chain who is accepting cryptocoins.

Those would be great news of course, but I doubt it will ever happen. FIFA World Cup is a massive event, and even though I like bitcoin a lot, I don't think it's ready for that kind of adoption yet. They would not risk using a payment system that is not yet regulated worldwide. It sounds good in theory but in practice watch the usage be barely any at all. It is an ironic catch 22 that we want more Bitcoin adoption yet are hoarding Bitcoin and won't spend it. Something has to give and I believe if people want to see Bitcoin being accepted in more places, then we should put up or shut up.

Bitcoin is increasingly playing its role in many areas around the world, there are many e-commerce corporations and many other services have accepted the bitcoin payment. Russia is a country with a very well developed cryptocurrency market so I do not feel weird when the 2018 World Cup uses bitcoin to pay for many services.
