Title: Some kind of ETH wallet for newbie
Post by: neli234 on April 22, 2018, 11:20:12 AM
ETH is still the second largest currency today, this time the ETH is recovering to the $ 1000 mark early in 2018. For new players not know where to keep their ETH, I will list some types of wallets. ETH best current storage help you:
1) Ledger Nano S (~ $ 65): The cheapest  ETH and BTC  hardware wallet
2) Trezor (~ $ 99): ETH, BTC and Altcoin  hardware wallet
3) Exodus (Free): ETH, BTC and Altcoin store wallet on the computer as a software
4) Jaxx (Free): Wallet store ETH, BTC and Altcoin on PC and phone as a software - In my opinion is best to use for free.
5) MetaMask (Free): Very popular wallet integrated on Firefox and Chrome
6) MyEtherWallet (Free): Very popular but poor security you should connect them with Trezor or Ledger Nano S and metamask.
7) Coinbase (free): This is the safest and most economical ethereum solution available today, you can always trade but the disadvantage is that you do not have a private key.
8 ) KeepKey (~ $ 120): similar Ledger Nano S and Trezor but twice as big =))
9) Mist (Free): Store ETH on computer as software. Currently Mist only supports computer platforms such as Mac, Window and Linux.
10) ETHAdress (Free): You can use the open source ETHAdd project on github to create your own Ethereum wallet.
You can choose the type of wallet that suits you best.  ;D

As for newbie and definitely for free, you can also add the option of using MyEtherWallet offline https://myetherwallet.github.io/knowledge-base/offline/ (https://myetherwallet.github.io/knowledge-base/offline/). But this requires an additional computer that will never be online. In general, this is quite safe.

I only use three of these wallet but I always bookmark the web if it is a web based, and kept my private key to a safe place if it is a desktop wallet, I'm using of course Myetherwallet, Jaxx and Exodus of course I have a meta mask to keep my wallet safe I haven't tried the other one but hopefully I will try it in the future.

Metamask + Myetherwallet is my top choice. That is pretty safe for an online wallet and is very clear and easy to use.

True and but for security, using metamask simple and freee. Private key hack easy
