Title: Bitcoin to hit 1000?
Post by: vx1 on November 17, 2013, 11:39:47 PM
Who thinks we can go the distance to a 1000$ , I most certainly do this is very possible considering where we are right now in the market.  Go BTC!

It could be possible if there were more businesses that accepted bitcoin. This will make people think bitcoin can be used for more than drugs even if people do a little research bitcoin can be used to pay for anything.

Yes, very likely, and doesnt matter if next year or later  :)
New online shops accepting BTC would be preferable for better options spending coins

The problem with accepting bitcoin is either you need to nail a stake in the ground and deal (like mining companies did. Well, sort of), or constantly shift prices based on the moment, or have your prices disconnect from reality (really, someone is going to be a supporter here and get a cute icon for $2,500?)

I'll accept it for watch and clock repair, however I still have to convert it to dollars to buy tools and pay taxes. This leaves me vulnerable to a refund request if the price of BTC goes up and leaves me vulnerable to endless bitching if it goes down.

Is it worth the "trouble"? I'm not sure.

It's going to hit 1000 for sure

The question is will it be during this hype bubble or another? I don't think anyone can say for sure... but its certainly possible to happen this time.  Many days it is rising more than $50 in 24 hour period; it's an exciting time to be alive.

oh yea .. seriously - with the momentum we have been seeing and world wide support
we all just have to stay the course and keep the support strong. It will get there, financial
freedom is very possible in large numbers.

So... If everyone thinks it will "go" to $1,000 then why would anyone do something as stupid as "spending" it.

Worse, why would I ever "buy" something with it?

What kind of moron would I be to "pay" someone with it for a service?

well you can buy and hold some, spend some  .. to keep things fluid in the market. Warren Buffet is all about buy and hold and its worked for him. But you have to keep things moving .. because if everyone just bought and not sold the there would be no market. just like the nasdaq or nyse or any other exchange there has to be "EXCHANGE" to keep things healthy.

I think the Price of BCīs are the result of political decisions.

I'd suspect a bit of a crash soon, but what do I know?

I sure hope it gets to 1000 or higher, but there's some political hearings coming up that will make or break the long-term sustainability of the currency.  Things seem to be pretty volatile... although if the price dips i might be tempted to keep buying more :)  too bad i'm so late to the party...

I think it will continue on an overall upward trend as long as the Chinese are purchasing so much of it up.

It's definitely possible now, it won't happen fast as there will be a lot of interest in keeping it from happening though.

The price will crash during the next 3 month. The Chart shows a classical bubble. But thatīs not a sign of weakness. Thatīs just how it works.
Sell high. Buy low. Greed vs. Brain...

p.s. @Inkvor...why 18th?

1000 should be sooner than most people think now.

Bitcoin has doubled in less than two weeks from 250.

So we could double again in ten days and reach 1000 before the end of the month.

It is likely that we'll reach 1000 by the end of the year.

However a correction is likely too.

Upward gain potential is greater in my opinion.

Not necessarily, but yeah hopefully there is a correction because it helps the longevity of bitcoin.

It is true but you know what the "big raise" looks like only afterwards.

It could go to 1500 before correcting to 900 for exemple...

as if that matters, its not controlled by them .. or the banks

but its in their best interest to support this, because it can make money
and gov is all about making money its a corporation after all….
