That is the easiest question. If you do a simple google search you would already have known by now. Anyway let me list a few of the top brands for you. These are great both for mining and gaming.

1. Corsair 2. EVGA 3. Rosewill 4.Seasonic 5. CoolerMaster

This is my personal rating but you can be sure to have a great performance with each of these brands.

Kolink Continuum 1200 watt Platinum

Its got 12 pcie cables. Perfect for a 6 gpu right.

199 euro is probably best price.

HP Common Slot series (DPS-1200 FB A for example) server power supplies are very robust and usually quite reasonably priced.

But you need to know what you are doing and buy some additional supplies if you use a server power supply in a GPU rig.

The DPS-1200 FB A will have a reasonable noise level if you are not having a 100% power capacity load.

It all depends on what is available to you and at what prices. I have a couple of platinum Seasonic 1000 watt PSUs and I am very pleased with them.

I'd choose the 1000W version of the HP DL380 PSUs. They are a lot cheaper (than 1200w) due to less demand and put a little less strain on the breakout boards.
Two of them + breakout boards with cables can be had for less than $100, making 2000w max from 20 6pin cables. Add picoPSU for completeness.

But Server PSUs are not for living areas, the high pitch whine can be heard through several closed doors.

I'm playing around with adding stacked 60mm fans to fanless DPS700GB, these PSUs cost close to nothing but have a different connector, so cables are custom.
One single data point for reference, this 700W PSU pulls 400W from the wall when feeding 5x75W GPUs, so 93+% going to the cards (assuming the cards really pulls 75W when restricted to 75W).

I had Corsair (Modular and Non-Modular), Superflower, also I had Enermax 700W for me All are the best for mining indeed those have different from prices and quality but all depend on usage and maintenance.

For consumer type PSUs i have never had problems with either Corsair or Seasonic.

That being said, you would be better off with a server PSU if you will be using it for mining. It's cheaper and more power efficient. Just do a quick search of server PSUs for mining and you should find out everything you need to know.

Keep in mind Cooler Master don't design their own PSU's from scratch. They usually buy designs from the other companies (seasonic mostly) and make some tweaking on the original designs before they create their own product.

If this is a good thing or bad it's up to you. I bought V1200 platinum from Cooler Master but can't use it because I am still waiting for the new Nvidia cards. Hopefully all will be good. Between those big brands you probably can't go wrong with either of them.

-EVGA (I am not exactly sure but i might have heard some bad stuff about this one.)
-Corsair
-Cooler Master
-Seasonic

Those are solid brands. Or you can try to find good server style HP brand PSU's for very cheap if you are lucky. Server PSU's are usually considered to be a better solution for mining rigs since they are designed to work 7/24 but somehow they are not as popular as ATX type PSU's.

At first look a great price for a very decent 1.2kw unit, but they have skimped on the protections, the inrush current one is the dealbreaker.

Just splurge on the Seasonic stuff, you're buying for like 10 years and Seasonic is the best you can buy ATM. The differences in prices are irrelevant on such timelines.

Second pick is Corsair, third EVGA.

Antec, Aerocool, Thermaltake and especially Shittymax are not made for mining. The ones we had either melted or exploded in 1-2 months of running at 60-70% load. All replaced by Corsairs, running 4 months now without issues.

So far, my preference for out of the box PSUs is EVGA. Corsair and Thermaltake are also good.

Old Dell and HP server PSUs are also built like tanks. If you add a breakout board, you can get very cost-effective units on Ebay.

I had long experiences with different brands.

For me

1. Corsair
2. EVGA
3. Thermaltake
4. Zalman
5.CoolerMaster
6.FSP

I heart Seasonic is also good. But I have never used this brand.

You can buy nr 1&2 with confidence.

Otherwise, you can't miss with Corsair, EVGA..

I also use HP server power supplies. But you need  6 Pin PCI-E risercards and a picoPSU to connect the mainboard. Also a breakoutboard with power switch helps. https://www.ebay.de/itm/Power-Versorgung-Breakout-Board-Adapter-DPS-1200FB-Ethereum-Mining-ETH-ZEC-top/232645500070?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 (https://www.ebay.de/itm/Power-Versorgung-Breakout-Board-Adapter-DPS-1200FB-Ethereum-Mining-ETH-ZEC-top/232645500070?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649)

I am running ~80 supplies by Rosewill. The only ones that have been somewhat problematic are the 750-watt PHOTONS... I have 750 Quark, 850 Photon, and 850 Quark and extremely limited issues.

Even within the 750 PHOTONs that I had issues with RMA service was awesome.

What that you mean server's PSU? Am I right?

Server's PSU is PSUs that used for powering server (a server computer). Since server typically running 24/7, need Power Supply Unit that has good durability and good enough efficiency to handle server devices. And that was good to powering our rigs, but a bit noisy than consumer's PSUs.

Seasonic Prime 1300w Platinum

This is one good PSU, it has 12 6+2 pcie cables.  perfect for a 6 gpu rig, 12 years warranty, platinum rated.

For 260 euros its best price for what you are getting

My rig consisted of 2 separate PSUs. 1. was for the MOBO and other peripherals and the 2. one was purely for GPUs and for watercooling pump.

The PSU I used for MOBO was Lepa 800w Gold 80+ rated and never had any problems. The PSU that powered GPUs was 2400w server PSU from Parallelminer. This was a BEAST - silent, cool, cheap and put out so much power!

just my 2 cents

For mining server psus are the best, they are robust and built with better components than the most expensive ATX PSUs.

This still holds true. I lost a few of the "weak" supplies early on but I haven't had any of the remaining 750-watt PHOTONs give me any trouble even in the summer heat. I'm going on a year or more on quite a few of these supplies with 24/7 mining.

You research on the specific model not the brand with PSUs. As popular brands can have a very low quality PSU model.
Personally I always go with Antec. Their good PSUs are made by Seasonic, I tested their warranty when 3 months ago 2 of my PSUs died (due to my mistake) so I went to Antec service center next day and they gave me new models immediately. I just bought two Antec HCG X 1000 and they look really cool in gold.

There is no one best brand. If you want the best quality. Buy a Tier 1 rated PSU. They use the highest quality components. Linked is a list of models from Tier 1 to Tier 5. If you stick with those models listed as Tier 1 you will have the best.
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

Personally I would get one which is 600W or higher so that you have plenty of headroom.

This Corsair RMx 750w is excellent quality. It also has a 10 year warranty. It is 80+ Gold, so it is extremely energy efficient.
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9q38TW/corsair-power-supply-cp9020092na

The EVGA SuperNOVA P2 650 is another excellent choice. It also has a 10 year warranty. It is 80+ Platinum, so it is even more energy efficient.

Enermex is pretty good actually.

Still got one doing some GPU mining that I got with my Antminer S2 about 3 years ago.

People complained about the Enermax being crap because Bitmain used 1000 Watts and it was a 1000 Watts PSU, and certain units basically ended up dying as a result of running at max wattage over long periods of time.

I ran mine at max 80% and it still runs good. Only had an issue with 1 fan, which was easily replaced with any standard 14" computer case fan.

Evga t2 titanium is the king and better than server psu.
96 efficiency. Been runner mine 24/7 for about a year and no problems.

My second pick would be bitmains apw power supply

For power supply the first on the list is the leadtex superflower. However depending on region PSU preference defers form user to user here in east and south east asia Seasonic is the most preferred since we do have huge quantities of it here, in the US its Corsair, be quiet, and EVGA. What I would suggest to is to check reviews of the PSUs of each manufacturer as they have pros and cons and jonnygury has the best review out there.

Enermax sucks

For mining?

Segotep?

I don't quite understand why most people say Enermax sucks,
Can you guys elaborate?

I've been using 4 Enermax Platimax 1700W platinum PSUs for 3 years now and had no problem with them whatsoever since the first day I put them to work.
I mean you get 100W-200W more power then your usual top of the line EVGA (1600W) or Corsair (1500W) or other competitive psu manufacturer,
It's at least +100€ cheaper than the competition and has been for years for the pretty much equal build quality and performance as far as I can tell and jonnyguru confirm which is a huge plus.

The only disadvantage I can think of are shorter pcie cables(50cm) than the competition, also the only thing I could see as a deal breaker if you really need those extra 10-20cm more.

Now with all that said, would you kindly tell me why Enermax sucks compared to other PSUs?

EDIT: to be fair I'm talking about Enermax' Platimax series, I'm not familiar with the cheaper line up as cheaper models usually suck whoever manufactures them.

A matter of preference because some people would really see that 10-20cm more to be important and as you said it would be a deal breaker.
