that bot is crap and will get you only fake,bot or dead traffic and nothing more.A good example for that bot is Refereum which has 100k members but which is dead because of the quality of the traffic.

He point is not to have unnecessary people in the group which makes the group pointless because if that would be adding people so what is guarantee that it will be a group of likeminded people and what you need to communicate will make sense . So think what is right for you .

Seeing groups being spam out with new members i dont know if they are bots or actual users being dragged of in the group.I would say it would really be hard to filter out or if its possible then it would be great but i havent one do have this kind of thing.Lots of members or lets say a big number of people in a tele group would be still useless if people doesnt have the same view on a certain project.Its more worth to have lesser but have the same aims.

Yes, but it is better when many people know about your project. We have the group, where there are 30K people. And no spam. The antispam bot is working, where there is a limit on messages, forbidden to write links, people with id bot are being banned and other things to control spam. And of course, there is an admin, who watches the group.

What is your best practice to increase the size of a telegram group? Possible way I heard of is to invite people by searcing for their nicknames but it blocks you after a while
