Hi everyone, I want to discuss which part of an ICO project do you care? This question is about to evaluate which is more important between Product and the Vision of a project?

How can there be a choice between the two! Without a product, what are you investing in and without a vision, why are you investing in it!

I mean which one is more important, not choosing one of them. They are one of 4 standards to review an ICO project - can not postpone any of them.

I'd suggest to pay more attention to product:
1)Is there demo/MVP?
2)roadmap for development of product itself.
3)is all described is possible to implement?

Both are important  for the success of any ICO. A good vision with useful product may result in successful coin. So check the fundamental of product.

I don't think there is a point separating the two but I would lean towards product first. that being said VERY few ico's actually have a working product at ico ( usually around 3-6 months to beta) so you have little choice but to invest in the vision of the project. I would never just look at these two categories.. amongst other things investigate the team, the hype factor, the crypto space they are trying to break into and the competition. the hardcap, the bonus' etc etc.

I think the product is more important than the vision, without a good product for what we invest in their ico? Vision may be just a complement of the product or factors we should see when going to invest in the ico.

You can't compare the two as vision is a construct on a meta level, a product is a specific thing. Vision comes before the product, without a vision there is no viable product but it also can refer to the strategy resp. the overarching/underlying idea or goal.

They are both totally good in bounty operations, if a certain operations of bounty does not using both of products and vision are totally out of balance. So to make a business operation become successful you must have a good products and a best vision.

Without a product, you are only investing in an empty promise and for the fact that the team is really not ready to even sacrifice something to show an investor why it is worth investing in the first place makes it a big NO; and without a vision, there is really no way forward and a team without a vision will obviously not have a set out goal or plan.

As far as I am concerned, they are equally both essential, since I would be investing in both the product and the team.

I will love to say you need to get through the WP because you can be informed and knowledgeable about their Vision
After good knowledge of their vision then their product value is important

Those are the factors that enhance your interest before participating in any ico

The only one thing that matters in ICO - is it gonna be presented on exchanges right after the end of ICO. There is no other use for any project except buying and selling

Im a bounty hunter, so I care about the allocated funds for bounty, then I look at the project itself, their platform, their vision, their partners, and also their background. and also the product, it is one of the most important thing to see

These two components have a big impact on the success of the project. But I think the worker, the finished product in the forthcoming project will be more important in its success.

Actually product and vision are almost the same. If your is to vision is a long term objective to achieve something, then product is the way to achieve it. Even if vision is awry most people care about the return which a good product might. But most of all is the personnel involved, the engineers working on the technology and the founders promoting it is probably the most important thing.

  They are all important, a good ICO can be determined by possessing an experienced team, reliable platform, good vision and the product. Investors had been attracted to an ICO which product endorse will surely hit the market, that is why both are significant when choosing a good ICO to invest.

Well, I care in both the product and the vision but I give more attention to the product. If it will be delivered on time, will be used in their use-cases and if I can consider it a utility product where it will be really used in the community. Even if the vision is too good to be true, I really don't care as long as they accomplished all the little small things that is needed to get to the next stage of the project.

Both product and vision are important to me. However I am attracted by the product first and then I will check out the vision and other stuffs of the project.

The product of an ICO is much more important than the vision. The reason being that, if a project provides a good product, it will definitely communicate a good vision and intent to the investors and other interested participants. While an ICO can have a good vision, which just anybody can bring up, but that does not mean that it will be done as stated in the vision. Action speaks better than words.

Product will definitely the first thing I will look at. If the product is disruptive to the market, the project has potential to grow big. Of course, we have to also look at other areas before deciding to invest or not.

I both care and have my eyes upon how good the ICOs product is and the vision of their team as well. These were the keypoijts to find out whether tge ICO have a chance of survuving the ever-changing tides of the market or not. I always go for ICOs that speaks for themselves and has a good vision. Without these two I doubt an ICO would even be able to operate. That is how these 2 are important

if in my opinion, everything plays an important role, in terms of product and vision or purpose.
Good vision, without a good product, will not work.
Good product, without good vision, also less, but still can be changed.

I don't see the difference, maybe you can explain more. But the product is the embodiment of the vision, isn't it? Don't consider just one or two aspects, try to ponder the whole picture of ICO before you invest

The product and vision are both important to a project or company. The product is proof that a project is alive. The vision is the eye of the company. A project is better known when quality is its product and dreams come about because of the vision. But everything starts with the vision.

A city cannot be formed without a vision.

In King James version it said, "Where there is no vision, the people perish ...

The product is the backbone of the company/project. How can you run or operate without a product? The world will know how reliable and who you are by your product. Vision has an important role in every human's life also.

You know that Disney Land created from dream or vision? Now we see and feel its product, its reality.

I care about everything before investing my hard-earned money in Ico.Product,vision,team,competitors,country,price,all the information about it.And even all of these factors dont give  100% guarantee.

For me is very important vision but also product and if the usage of blockchain is really necessary for this project/sector or it's only a way to make money...

Of course the are both important but an ICO developer must know when to choose to bring us the real product or their imagination to raise money from investors, so i guess having a real product is easier to persuade investors than just our vision, as long as we can have the trust from investors, we can be success in the future, so that is why ICOs are required high standard nowadays to raise money.

I agree that both, product and vision, are important, but if a project has already working product then it can be a great advantage for them. So if I need to choose between an ICO with a perfect whitepaper with a unique idea and the one with already working product, I would select the second one.

A bit vague question but what can I say is that product is the most important part of the project for me. I do not invest in ICOs without a ready-made product and only with airy promises to do it in the future. So, in my opinion existing of the product increase the chances of the project to conduct sussesful ICO and prosper in the future

Uniqueness of the product is important because this will be their bullet for further war in the market if they were released,so this is what the importance of the product..

Now about the vision,this will be the eye and the road of the project to success,because if there ate no visions,this means a project is just a shitcoin,that will only pump and die tomorrow

To me they are one in the same because you can't have a vision without a project, and your project doesn't begin without a vision in mind. For that reason I prefer using these two metrics more so than looking at the team, or hardcap of a project.

For me, product is connected on vision. This is like a chain reaction that you need to focus in this current time, for the reason that you need to complete and well manage those things, not only those thing but almost every part of the project. ICO is the critical part of the project, you need to be careful to choose the in demand product to see the brighter vision in the future.

Vision matters for shit. Its the product that matters, without it there is no use of vision. Most of the ICOs show vision but are never able to develop the product they have been talking about, as they are here to just make a quick buck and leave. Without a product there is no vision, no use case and no future.

what i noticed is that ICOs with a project have much more succesfull start after the ico finishes. But we shouldnt neglect the ones with a great vision as well, but the thing is that they are most likely long term projects and you have to be really patient and prepare to have some loses at the biggining

Any project can turn into a scam at the end, no matter how great the product & vision is because we don't know the intention of the owners and it is also not possible to know that.

Actually, "WE" are blindly taking the risk to invest in ICOs. I can't explain a reason for this clearly but it could be due to our greed.

If I invest in an ICO then I normally care for the community they already built up so far and how strong the marketing is and lastly how strong the community is responding. But that doesn't mean it won't be a scam later.

I prefer the product whether it is for health, applications, digital, robot. as mentioned that it all grows rapidly if there is ico about it all come with setting vision

Personally, I am looking for a product that make sense. No one needs a " decentralized bathroom scale that built on blockchain which allows you to keep your weight anonymous". Those futuristic ico's worth nothing to me.

Both product and vision are obviously necessary to make project become a success ...BUT you don't sell vision... you sell products!
So for me : products > vision !

For me the product will be the first thing i look. I mean their vision is also important but if they try to raise money to devlop something i want that product is possible to make and not just some dream and they end up runing with our money. Also avoid kind of lending platform i dont  think its the right way to make money.

I really think it's very hard to separate both of them. A good project needs a good vision, otherwise even if they deliver the product it will not be worth anything, because it simply was something no one probably needed. Of course that even if the vision is amazing, and the world would benefit a lot from that product, everything is worthless if they can't deliver a product.

I usually have trouble investing in ICOs, because most of them fall in either one extreme or the other. Some have a crappy product and no vision, and others only have a vision and no product. I think a good ICO needs to have a good working product and a solid roadmap with a good vision for the future.

Everything is equally important in a body. A project becomes successful when its every organ works properly. So I care both of them.

you cant really choose between the two,because both of them are important,you know what OP?youre just making thing difficult for all of us,and besides whats the purpose of asking this?would this help you in something?why not do some thing productive than asking another nonsense like this..all of the things that involving to ICO is very important..so stop providinauch issue.and focus on your life.

product and vision of ICO are related to each other, they cant be separated.
but if you insist, i will pro on ICO vision, because as we can see the vision of the ICO is the main goal. the change of the product i think is only a formality, but the vision changing ?

i think it will change a whole plan of the ICO and will make the ICO looks untrusted.

I believe that product and vision cannot be viewed separately. Both these parts are important for any prospective project. It seems to me that the finished product is more important. Since it helps to attract the attention of more investors who want to touch with their own hands what they will invest their finances. And as a rule, ICO with finished products become very successful.

The product comes foremost but even then I have seen a lot of projects failing. As per my experience, the majority depends on the team behind the project. If there are only fresh faces, then project is going to fail, and experienced candidates bring in some extra trust for people.
Also, marketing has to be top notch. What if there is a brilliant product that no one wants to buy? Hence, I care the most for Product followed by Vision.

I always look how much the project has a good idea and almost always I look at the beta version of the product, if it is available then the project has even more chances to collect a large amount of money, this is just my opinion and I really think so.

Well you can't actually evaluate an ICO based on one of them, they are both a consequence to another, a good vision will produce a good product, so if the project has a revolutionary idea that adds something to the market and a good team than people will invest in it and support it and that will lead to its product having a higher value and will lead to a successful project.

I am primarily concerned with the concept itself. If it is not present, I miss the project and looking for more interesting. If I find it, then explore the long-known all parameters..

Both of them are important but if you want to rank them the first is the working product because it is the main reason why they bought your token or coin. Working product will also trigger the investors to buy your coin if they prove it is working and ready to use.

What project would I support financially? For sure, the one which has lofty ambitions. If you see an ICO which is solving an important problem, it’s a good sign. It should have a team of experts who are ready to answer your questions day and night. Social media are not of less importance. Before making an investment, I check the White Paper. For me if ICO is held for a working product, it means that your money will go where needed. I don't invest when company doesn't have a prototype, for example.

Why would someone invest in the ICO if the project is not of any use . The product and its uses are most important  things that are to be examined before investing in some ICO .  This does not end here , without a good team nothing will be going in the direction of success and that comes with vision .
 The  vision of the team about how much they want their product to succeed.           

What I really care about in any ICO is the product. The vision have no direction without a good product. A good product will attract whales who will invest good amount of money that will the ICO successful.

First I look at the product, then a united and rigorous team! A project vision is good, must have a good team to operate, only can succeed, can bring the benefit and the return to the investor!

I agree with you here. Both are equally important if you ask me when it comes to evaluating ICOs. I generally tend to research both these factors properly before deciding whether to invest or not although whitepaper is primarily what I analyse first. You could call the yin and yang of an ICO since both factors tend to support each other in this aspect. Don't just focus on these 2 factors though. Many other factors like whitepaper, social media interactions, transparency of the development team etc matter a lot when it comes to investing into an ICO. Do your research carefully to help differentiate between legit and scam ICOs.

First of course i care about the project, because the project is look interesting and how the project can solve the problen with blockchain technology. And after the coin transfered we must care about their price because we must see and aware about the coin price to get a lot of benefit from selling the coin

as works of developer has with details on notice with the release of information, investors to gains of unit of deduction as might to goes on preparing details with chance on qualifying use with the tasks on objectives as the manage of works of evaluation.

product and vision is a unity to create an extraordinary ico especially if it has a different technology with almost average crypto.
all must be a benchmark in every research, as a whole technical analysis is needed, so we can avoid the ico that leads to a scam and get a profit in the investment.

 The product of course because it will base upon the platform of the project, and from time to time it will serve as the core of what is the vision. But we don't have to always rely upon these two category, check the background of the developers because creators should be always known to all investors and then the product will be evaluated either good for investment or not.

first, i will see a project from the product who offered.. because a project will make the investors interested to join if the project has a product. with the product it's indicating that the project can be trusted, so that investors will be more trusting to join the project. but it would be better if a project has a products and visions that can be combined into one, so this project will be an interesting project and surely favored by investors.

It seems we are actually missing the point here. The second thing you mentioned is what? Do you think there would be a road map if there is no set out goal or vision? Even if we keep going back and forth, they are both necessary. As long as you are leaving the other for one, it is more like you are trying to play a game of luck in your investment.

Based on the question, I personally care about the two of them and if one is absent, I would rather skip and see how the project sets out in the market in the long run.

I'm more interested in the product than the vision of the project. The vision of the project on behalf of developers very often too fantastic and unreal made as soon as possible. I think the best way is good, but simple effective product.

To be honest, I do not care about either) for me the main amount they want to collect and how much it corresponds to the project.

Not the product, nor the vision. But whether they create something that is needed and solves a problem. Currently, this is limited only to blockchain infrastructure projects, because nothing else is really needed now. The people that have crypto and wallets are just a drop in the ocean. It is too early for consumer applications.

If there is no product and no vision, then what am I actually investing in then? A product without vision to me is more like investing in something that would have no development in the future since the team will be nonchalant without any future plan and a vision without a product is more like trying to gamble and not investing since there is actually nothing you are investing on asides the promises being given by the team.

The answer is there is no answer since they are both important and you cannot leave one out because the other is intact. That is the reason you will keep getting the same answer here. It is one of the criteria of choosing a good ICO, so that makes it important otherwise none of them would be a part of it in the first place and leaving one out would be more like you depending on luck for your investment to give you profit in the long run.

That sums it up actually. There is really nothing much to actually debate here as it is more like saying in all the parts of the body, which is more important ? The head or the brain ? Apparently, without the head, there is no brain and without the brain, there is no head.

They both go hand in hand and the same thing applies to this scenario. Vision helps to have a set goal and product is what you believe with the vision you can make right, to crave in lots of demand in the future. Personally I do consider all the aspects of any project before investing with them still I understand I am not good at picking right ICOs to invest with.

They come together my friend. With a working product comes the vision's quality. Keep in mind that these things should be considered both when investing in ICOs.

I prefer both of them. When choosing an ICO, I considered the following below.
1. The project must have a working product.
2. Using there own wallet or dashboard to buy the tokens.
3. KYC implementation.
4. The team must be active in some blockchain events.
5. Active posting updates in their social media accounts and Telegram group.
6. SEC registered or other proofs that they are a legit company.
7. Not renting in high end buildings.

Ico is one most innovative and helping the ecosystems with technology innovative fastly available for same community ico fundraising will help the same community but in recent times we see many ico are turned as scam only few stand up with their innovation and pay back to community

I think that the product is much more important than vision. Because, product is basically the one that the investors will invest their money. Without a good product, what will the investors invest? Having a good product is like having a good vision in a sense. Even though product is much more important, vision is also an important factor in an ICO. Since you can see in the vision what are the following improvements/route that the product will take.
