I made a list of consumer PSUs from a few top brands, focused on the number of PCIe connector and Peripheral (4-PIN), capacity, and efficiency. Maybe can be PSUs buying recommendation. Always use a safer power scheme for long-term mining, it will keep all of rigs part in good condition. That's why I didn't add SATA connectors info here. This is a few simple things on rigs power scheme that's make our rig safer: - Powering risers using SATA connector, you can do it with one rail / SATA but not recommended. If possible, don't do it,
- Limiting MOLEX connectors for powering risers to two (2) for each rail,
- Always use max device power draws for calculating power needs,
- Always giving power spare for your rigs, 200 W or above is enough,
- Use standard electricity installation, standard cables (good quality), etc. And don't forget to check your electricity voltage, down-voltage will damage your devices,
- Make sure you are doing the right installation on your rigs, double check cable position, risers, cards, and so on.
And now, you are ready to go!
