Title: Merit Post by: electrobit on April 23, 2018, 01:33:30 PM Hello guys, as you can see I am new at the forum, so there are many things I still donīt understand and it is about the Merit.
I have in my screen at the right side above, a part it says +Merit That appears in every user quote and also in my profile like this -> Merit: 1, my questions are: What happens if I click on +Merit, in my own quote? How can I get Merit? (this also appears in my profile) Whatīs the purpose of merits? Any user can give merit? If itīs so, how can I give. Thank you for helping, regards! 2. You make constructive and helpful posts and hope that someone will send you merits. 3. It was implemented to reduce the spam and account farming, as people are now obliged to make good posts If they want to rank up and participate in bounties. 4. Using +Merits button you asked about in #1. You can only send sMerits which are given to you when you receive Merits (for each 1 merit you receive, you get 0.5 sMerit that you can send to other people). I don't know what will happen if we click + merit on our own posts, but I remember someone said he tried to click +merit on his posts but there is nothing happen. Whatīs the purpose of merits? You can read here Merit & new rank requirements (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0) there is clear explanation about merit will answer your questionsAny user can give merit? (this also appears in my profile) I've just skipped this question as I think there is so many questions about merit, then this kind of question always tucked on their post (same as yours)Title: Re: Merit Post by: electrobit on April 23, 2018, 02:14:39 PM 1. My merit go away? It is deducted? I mean if I merit someone, in this case I have just 1. When I merit them, my merit go to "0"? or I can send merit to somebody and my merit still will stay with me. You confused Merit and sMerit. Let's say, someone gives you 2 Merits and then you will also receive 1 sMerit. When you will try to give someone Merit, 1 sMerit will be deducted from your account but 2 Merits will stay. You can't loose Merit, there are no such thing as demerit.
