Hi all,

I have a few amount of LTC. I was wondering if i should convert it to BTC or keep them. I do not need my money right now (it is a long term investment).

If i continue mining LTC, should i convert them ASAP to BTC or should i keep them, expecting the price go up ?

Well what do you think will grow more quickly?

Say you have 100 LTC today worth say $500.

Those 100 LTC can buy 1 BTC worth $500.

Which do you think will grow more quickly? The value of BTC or the value of LTC?

Personally, I think it's easier for your 100 LTC to become $1000 if you left in LTC. Doubling from $5 to $10 per LTC seems more plausible in the short term than BTC from $500 to $1000.

I say keep in LTC - as it as not experienced the rapid appreciation that btc has, there is more upside potential.

BTC is more volatile than LTC, while the long-term increase is about the same for both. While LTC is the safer bet right now, it is possible that a new altcoin will dethrone it sometime in the near future.

In my opinion, both should be equally good to keep for about half a year. For less than that, BTC can be too volatile. For more than that, LTC can be replaced, although it is unlikely at this point.
