Title: [SELL] JDice.com Domain Name (Perfect for a Dice Site)
Post by: JDice on November 18, 2013, 06:34:23 PM
http://jdice.com
(currently forwards to this post)

I am the owner of the domain and would like to sell the domain for Bitcoins

It is a pronounceable short ".com" name with no numbers or hyphens. May not be a top premium domain, but it is rare in the market. It should be ideal for a dice gambling site for virtual currencies or fiat money.

It is registered on "name.com", so you can register an account there for an instant transfer.

(Will not consider any offer below 1btc)

So, you buy a domain for $12 USD, and you're now selling it for $625 USD?
That domain doesn't even have any traffic.  http://who.is/whois/jdice.com

Are you implying that a domain that receives no traffic is worthless?

No.  I am implying it does not that that kind of value BEFORE that domain name proves that it's "special"
It will take a lot longer to build up an audience too.

Why don't I share a story with you guys...

Let's say you walked into a gallery and saw this painting

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/13/Suprematist_Composition_-_Kazimir_Malevich.jpg/95px-Suprematist_Composition_-_Kazimir_Malevich.jpg

A guy said to his friend next to him,
"Highly unlikely anyone is going to fall for this"
"Doesn't even come with a frame!"
They laughed and left

To be honest, if I saw this painting I would say exactly the same thing
because I don't know much about art and have no clue about how much paintings are worth.

That painting above is worth $60 million

I am not suggesting my domain is worth millions, or thousands, it is not
It is never going to be comparable to top domains like "investing.com" for $2.4 million

But the rationale that a domain's worth must be based on the $10 register fee or $50 back order is rather "simplistic"
Same goes for traffic

I do agree that if Bitcoin's value continues to climb, it would make my domain "overpriced"
But there is nothing stopping potential buyers to wait for Bitcoin value to fall first and make an offer then.

Lastly, do have a look at these sites when you have time:
http://www.domain-prices.com
http://www.sedo.com

Thanks

I may be interested if it came preloaded with the actual dice site.
