What can Blockchain do for politics? How do they overlap each other?
Management of public funds, these funds would be in a common accounting record ensuring that resources reach the intended purposes. Elections, votes would be counted in real time and would have detailed support that would limit electoral fraud, strengthening democracy.
Government management, registration, monitoring and auditing of public works progress would be possible with smart contracts.
So far, these countries are developing blockchain technology: Australia, China, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, United States, Estonia, Holland, Japan, Malta, Poland, United Kingdom, Russia, Switzerland, Ukraine.
Would this bring a new era?

In all honesty, it's too early to tell what form it would take if blockchain were to be used as a tool in national governance.  Everyone has their own ideas on what it might look like, or even should look like, but we're all just guessing.  I believe that the simple act of recording votes on a blockchain doesn't go far enough in remedying the existing flaws in politics.  Everyone seems to worry about the public committing fraud, but what about the governments themselves?  For as long as we have a centralised authority, corruption will be unavoidable.  Simply monitoring the criminality our leaders partake in isn't sufficient.  We see some (https://www.buzzfeed.com/heidiblake/uk-refused-to-raid-lycamobile-citing-its-tory-donations) of the corruption now, but nothing is done about it.  We need something better.

Blockchain can contribute a lot but should never be treated as the panacea that can cure all that evils besetting all the endeavors of humanity. And for that we have many things to thank blockchain for. In the coming years, we will see how the blockchain can be applied in improving transparency and honesty in many political dealings. Certainly, there are many areas in governance that blockchain can be that catalyst for change. I am hoping that this can really make changes small or big...ultimately for the benefits of the many.

In the field of governance and politics the blockchain technology could really bring a tremendous changes. In politics we will see a total kind of voting system, and that every people will have an id number and when they vote all will be recorded in the blockchain so there will be no excess voters and flying voters. In governance, all public funds that will be utilized will be visible in the blockchain for the people to see and such transparency could lessen the corruption in a certain country.

Yes, I believe that any organization whether government or non-government not adopting blockchain/decentralization would lose its efficiency in the coming decades. Many countries are working on the blockchain technology to utilize it in multiple sectors. Example: Russia is working on blockchain for recording land records. I am expecting blockchain everywhere in the coming years and it would not be a surprise if we see democratic voting through blockchain system.
