Title: New miner blade setup help?
Post by: webgeek on November 18, 2013, 09:45:55 PM
Recently I purchased 1 blade (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DF91K98/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1) (seller told me it is rev2 but it has a green motherboard?), 1 backplane (http://www.ebay.com/itm/190967559709?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649), and 2 psu's (http://www.ebay.com/itm/190905058028?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649) (they were cheaper than buying one off of ebay) and I need help. When I plug everything in, just like the pictures I've seen on this site, the power supply turns on but the blade has no link connectivity. It seems as though it is not receiving power.

Anyone experience this issue? Is it a blade or backplane issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check all the connections. sometimes if the blade isnt sat just right in the back plate it wont get power. also try other slots. this is the problem with new people using 2nd hand hardware. it will either be something stupidly simple such as a bad bad connection or something really complx such as a bad blade or PSU

I've tried all the slots  ??? How much play should a blade have when it is in the socket? On certain slots, the blade can easily wobble back and forth.
