Title: Blockchain Education
Post by: michaelz23 on April 25, 2018, 06:20:22 AM
Hi guys,

I am running a small developer team and we are more and more moving towards blockchain development. I am technical, however, now I am more acting as business manager, CTO, bitch for everything...

I need to get to a point where I can decide, what blockchain suites which project (for data storage, AI, big-data, BI...) and I need to understand more of the rough technical backgrounds like lightning... not only for bitcoin but overall.

I went through all Udemy Courses and a few other ones but those are all just scratching the surface.

Can you recommend good courses, books or other resources in that regard? I don't need deep coding understanding, just from the architecture side.

Thanks for the help
Michael

The blockchain is essentially a decentralized database in which the operations and benefits are a shared mechanism. All nodes participate in the process and all nodes benefit from it.

In my view, Blockchain allows schools to provide greater opportunities to teachers, parents, and even community members to get involved.
All of these elements can be directly involved and activate a new learning structure. With hope, will increase the willingness of learning for their students. As is well known, Blockchain is a digital transaction recording book, with a distributed system, capable of recording and storing verifiable transactions with validity.

I'm not interested in reading books, so I do not have in-depth knowledge, but this forum in addition to Github is the fastest way to learn.
You can try reading:
 1. An Architectural Assessment of Bitcoin (https://ac.els-cdn.com/S1877050915003026/1-s2.0-S1877050915003026-main.pdf?_tid=01417a28-a88d-4de5-8eb0-575a292757f9&acdnat=1526443780_c61e9f86052aacdf1eedad637c0a7228): It is a simplified and faithful copy of many useful references
 2.  Mastering Bitcoin: I think you read it.
Discuss what you know, and you'll find that you've gained information quickly

Hahaha. I know how being a bitch for everything feels. I work in a small furniture business my family owns. :P

I am sorry to break your bubble but you might need to rethink why you want to use a "blockchain". Most businesses and projects do not need one.

I am sure you are a very smart person, can even create your own token with your friends in a group.

you do not need to learn to other people, because you yourself already understand the procedure of making tokens and understand with Blockchain network. maybe a little spice to learn you from Google and Youtube. Keep the spirit alive, my friend ! I will continue to support you.

I haven't had much luck with online courses. Perhaps maybe a couple, but even then, only managed to derive value from a few chapters.

I see that many have mentioned Andreas Antonopoulos - I honestly believe his YT channel/books are some of the best resources out there. One of the most engaging speakers I've come across, and very well informed.

Other than that, I usually follow influencers in the space (depending on blockchain) - be it on BitcoinTalk/Twitter/Reddit, and I usually go hunting for their blogs. Many of them appear to have personal blogs or medium accounts. So that helps too!

Another gem I found recently was Mango Research  (https://www.mangoresearch.co/). This blog is pretty good if you're looking for Blockchain tech explained in layman terms. They use analogies for many of their breakdowns (If you're into that kinda stuff)

I'm hoping to compile a list of resources soon. Will share it with the community as soon as its up :)

Its really important to have blockchain education today blockchain is really going to be the core of the whole industrial sector. Blockchain can transform may industries, some of them are:
1.   In banking and financial sector: We all know that big investments banks spend billions of dollars on these jobs. But it is estimated that these banks can save a huge amount of money spend on clearing and settlement with the help of blockchain technology. Many banks across the world are trying to shift their payments system on the blockchain technology. This would offer higher security and simultaneously reduce the costs involved in processing the payments between their clients and organizations.
2.   Smart contracts: Blockchain provides an encrypted database of transactions which means that once a deal is made, neither of the party can deviate from the terms of the contract. With the help of blockchain technology, smart contracts can be made more secure.
3.   Artificial intelligence: Since blockchain technology can guarantee the accuracy of data, it can be useful in many Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. Blockchain will allow the emergence of a marketplace for AI. AI along with blockchain will lower the barriers to entry for the small players and reduces the competitive advantage available to the tech giants.
4.   Supply Chain Management: In blockchain, each product is given a tag which secures the supply chain in just a second. All the information, like the place of storage, property certificates, place of origin, is available in a single ledger, which further adds to the security. Blockchain technology allows the business partners to share and discuss important information with each other directly, thus, eliminating the need for an intermediary

I think it's good if bitcoin learning is recommended. Not for what, so the unemployed, housewife or student whose family is not capable can earn extra money to support their lives. They can be taught to invest, mining and also get bitcoin. It should also be taught in detail so that they are not mistaken about bitcoin. I also suggest that articles and books on bitcoin be released so they can add knowledge about bitcoin.

Blockchain can be applied in many areas of life, such as health, finance, agriculture, etc. This technology will be implemented in the next  years because it is very efficient, safe and difficult to abuse because blockchain is decentralized and spread across many servers so they support each other. Because this technology is new, the world of education must continue to provide education and training.

Now the bitcoin has become very successful and the most popular crypto currency and not among all crypto but all among all the kinds of investment, the era of bitcoin has been started and now more and more people wants to invest into bitcoin and wants to be a part of bitcoin and there are still millions of people who are investing into bitcoin so no need to explain that how huge and potentiating crypto currency the bitcoin is, so for the future generations, Blockchain education is very much necessary so I think bitcoin should be teach in school and colleges.
