Title: deepbit hand picking blocks? Post by: slippyrocks on August 03, 2011, 06:44:12 AM deepbit.net looks to be well ran I am just curious looking
at their front stats compared to btcguild and slush's pool are they hand picking blocks somehow? Code: 03.08 05:25:18 0h 14m 0 1134481 None Title: Re: deepbit hand picking blocks? Post by: digger on August 03, 2011, 06:59:57 AM I think so, they pay invalid blocks, I don't think they can afford this part.
so they will hidden some good blocks, This is the reason their blocks strange. and also some blocks can't sure come from where. Title: Re: deepbit hand picking blocks? Post by: Graet on August 03, 2011, 07:04:49 AM I like this page

Post by: phorensic on August 05, 2011, 03:55:45 AM BitcoinMonkey hand picked a block that's over 3 million rounds now. Dangit! Should have stayed with those 850,000 round blocks! j/k

Looks fine to me.at their front stats compared to btcguild and slush's pool I think so, they pay invalid blocks, I don't think they can afford this part. 1. AFAIR there is no pool with invalid rate higher than 3%, so any pool can afford paying for invalids while taking 3% fee.so they will hidden some good blocks 2. We can't hide any blocks because this will cause easy detectable luck loss. Also it would be too risky to mess with data when anyone can check the blockchain. Title: Re: deepbit hand picking blocks? Post by: Jack of Diamonds on August 06, 2011, 04:30:47 AM I'm earning about 10-20% more than expected from deepbit since you posted. I'm not noticing anything strange.
If anything, deepbit is paying *more* for the last few days. The pool is having some massive luck. |
