Title: Senate 'committee'
Post by: TKeenan on November 19, 2013, 03:48:56 PM
Perhaps the most telling clue from yesterday's meeting was a bit more subtle.  This 'committee' had only one guy show up.  That's right, all the other senators didn't bother to even hear the testimony.  They all had stuff they considered more important than a silly little imaginary currency.  Although the single senator present was polite and decent feigning interest the whole time, he admitted he readily  didn't know what the hell they were talking about.

At least he got himself delisted from the new assassination list by appearing to like bitcoin.

What do you think - could the meeting be considered a serious look at bitcoin by the US congress?  I am saying 'no'.

No. It was just a low profile meeting as far as optics.

Not sure what your point is here, except that the fact that there weren't many senators there means that Congress isn't interested in trying to STOP bitcoin.
