You can see it better with this website[1].
Everything has already been normalized, so the fees should be low again. [1] https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#1,24h Title: Re: problem whit fees in electrum wallet Post by: Ayanamirs on April 26, 2018, 01:23:44 AM Fees are low again.
check out coinb.in/#fees Title: Re: problem whit fees in electrum wallet Post by: pooya87 on April 26, 2018, 03:31:51 AM check out coinb.in/#fees Electrum itself is more reliable than this site, i actually checked it during the spike but it still was suggesting 1 Satoshi/byte as transaction fee. possibly some bug in their system. the link posted above by @TryNinja is also very helpful for estimation of fees. you take a look at mempool size in MB and then figure at which level it reaches 1-1.2 MB and if you pay that much fee you will have a high priority transaction. for example it currently is 1 but during the spike it was 110 s/b Title: Re: problem whit fees in electrum wallet Post by: milewilda on April 27, 2018, 07:19:44 PM check out coinb.in/#fees Electrum itself is more reliable than this site, i actually checked it during the spike but it still was suggesting 1 Satoshi/byte as transaction fee. possibly some bug in their system. the link posted above by @TryNinja is also very helpful for estimation of fees. you take a look at mempool size in MB and then figure at which level it reaches 1-1.2 MB and if you pay that much fee you will have a high priority transaction. for example it currently is 1 but during the spike it was 110 s/b Title: Re: problem whit fees in electrum wallet Post by: pooya87 on April 28, 2018, 04:29:45 AM check out coinb.in/#fees Electrum itself is more reliable than this site, i actually checked it during the spike but it still was suggesting 1 Satoshi/byte as transaction fee. possibly some bug in their system. the link posted above by @TryNinja is also very helpful for estimation of fees. you take a look at mempool size in MB and then figure at which level it reaches 1-1.2 MB and if you pay that much fee you will have a high priority transaction. for example it currently is 1 but during the spike it was 110 s/b ... and that is why Replace By Fee (RBF) features exist for bitcoin. i believe it is enabeld by default in the newer versions. the option is in Preference under the first tab called Fees and under the option called Propose Replace-by-fee. you can set it to always from the dropdown box. for example if you got a fee wrong and your transaction was stuck you will be one click away from increasing the fee to a better level. Title: Re: problem whit fees in electrum wallet Post by: teddy5145 on April 28, 2018, 01:04:48 PM tx fee are adjusted depending on current network congestion, your tx size, and priorirty.
As other says above me, your transaction happened during full network, making it more expensive to send a transaction. Of course, nothing prevents you from setting lower tx fee with cost of transaction time, shouldn't be a problem though as long as your transaction are not ugent. |
