Soon btc will have almost zero inflation. By that time it's gonna be valuable, more and more each year.

Maybe in that date, the technology be too advanced and we can live more time  ;D
So be have hope, there is a chance. One never knows...  8)

IMHO, We can see it if ever new advance technology for mining rig are introduced which focuses on increasing the hash power for computation. BTC halving is always happened every 4 years and if ever the miner hash power tremendously increase then the extraction of BTC from the last satoshi will be more faster. Take note that our technology was innovative and people wants a fast result so I believe that we can all see it.

Maybe if you go out into space and fly close to a black hole, where the fabric of time and space are torn, you will be able to come back just in time and not have aged more than a few minutes. This is assuming the rest of us haven't destroyed the planet by then.

Exactly. There are many miners out there that sell their BTC when they get it, instead of hodling it. After the next block halving in 2020, the amount of bitcoins the miners sell each day will be cut in half. Causing a much smaller influx of coins new coins on the market. By 2020 the demand and userbase of BTC should be much larger as well, so that means the price can only go one way...

Yes, bitcoin is the last bitcoin to be mined in 2140. And it's good that he will have such a long history! But even after the last bitcoin is extracted, it will not disappear. Perhaps people will always use it to save and multiply money.

Interesting , but sad to say that moment we could not  be able to see  the last extraction of  bitcoin in the year 2040. Hopefully through the advancement  of technology just like nakamoto satoshi’s  creation of bitcoin , somehow , somebody will  discover  herbs that makes life longer for us to live until we can witness that moment about  bitcoin. But I think it will not happen in the future , if there will be  a continous  circulation  of bitcoin just like what is happening to  bank currencies.

Aren't we all? On the other hand, we won't also be seeing the last paper money being printed in our lifetime because there are no assurance as to when will the government stops doing so. At least for bitcoin, it would be limited and rare giving it some form of value.


Hopefully people would still use and trade bitcoin by then, because if it failed hard on its early stages, no matter how rare bitcoin would become, it would still be valueless.

Whatever we did, we can stop and prevent to die! Even the most newest and high technology can't solve the mistery of death. Religion is the boundary of science and science itself can't unlock the mistery of the world.
The last satoshi is for the future generation, we should be happy because we reach this era. In my opinion, this innovation and creation of Satoshi Nakamoto is the best and remarkable invention of all times and we should be proud because we are part of it.

Wait what? No, this can never happen. It doesn't matter how much hashpower is generated for mining. The difficulty will simply adjust, and we'll be right back towards the 2140 track.

But yeah, regarding the topic, who knows if that will even happen. I doubt Bitcoin could survive for a century if scalability isn't achieved lol. Even then, better options might pop out. 100+ years is a very long time.

Well, this is something worth looking forward to even if we know that it will be impossible for all of us here in this forum today to live until 2140 not unless we can be transferred into the body of the robot sustained by electric or maybe by solar power. I am then wishing that by then this forum will still be existing and that members at that time can still be able to access and read our posts today. Now that would be so futuristic and maybe a little bit of inspiring.

Not only you but every member who is reading this post now won't be able to make it until that date.
The time extends to 122 years from now and it is highly unlikely for anybody to live that longer from the current generation. Who knows what will be the price of BTC at that time and whether or no it will still be  in the market or not. Chances are there that some other currency will take over it by that time.

Not only you but for sure most of us that are here in the forum will not will be able to witness the mining of the last satoshi's/BTC by that moment.

I don't think so mate, you know that technology makes our lives easier right? so the meaning is already there and foods are getting more chemicals and preservatives so I think living for this generation and reaching 80+ years is already a miracle.

Surely few of us are going to see the last sats to be mined if ever bitcoin and blockchain technology will still exist,as far as i know the remaining bitcoins are going to take 120years t be mined,even if the faster and bigger hash miners be ever invented,not unless before that we will a time machine so that we would be able to see what will happen in the future.

who knows... with all this transhumanism talk, we may be able to decentralize ourselves and you'll still be around somewhere in data form. I'm rooting for you to still be around, man!

All of us will not see the last extracted bitcoin so don't be discouraged, we're here to enjoy and live well through bitcoin so don't think of those outside of the world thoughts.

If you want to see the last bitcoin that will be mined then put your body into deep freeze and wake up in 2140! If you still have access to your private wallet then you will wake up to be a billionaire, although 1 billion is probably the price of a big mac

I have also thought about it for a second but even if we won't be able to see the moment the last satoshi will be extracted we will become part of the history of the first generation bitcoin holders or something like that. That's why at this present we should take this opportunity to be productive to make the most of it before dying so we may be able to pass it to our children in the future.

It is interesting idea though to imagine the appearance of our world in the future. I hope it will become a better place.

Year 2140 is a long time from now. Most, if not all of us would have passed away before that time. But who knows, anything is possible. Man is so smart now a days that he can come up with ways to achieve whatever goal he wants. So man can find ways of speeding up the extraction or mining process of satoshis in the coming years. When this happens, we may even live up to the time the last satoshi is extracted! Now, imagine how much that satoshi would be worth by that time? Well, that would be another topic.

If bitcoin runs out to 2140 it's very good, because we do not have to worry about the endless bitcoin that can be mined, because we must be dead for 2140, so I feel safer for bitcoin.

If indeed until the year 2140 I think it means that bitcoin is indeed the money of the future, and I am very happy and proud because my lifetime at least can still live in the world of cryptocurrency or bitcoin. ;D

I read on this forum that only 20% of bitcoins is left for us to mined so why are you given this year which seems 100 years ahead of us. the last satoshi left to be extracted is less than 10 years according to my research and i believe I will leave to see that day.

Nothing is impossible, the main thing is to believe. ;) Now more and more sophisticated equipment for mining is being invented, which speeds up the process of mining bitcoins.
