I find these kinds of threads most amusing during crashes.

OP might be right. We are not crashing, this was just a spike. I foresaw this spike in a dream a bit more than a week ago when price was just 300$ in gox. However, I was to scared to be wrong so I didn't make a topic for it but just mentioned it in another thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=328823.msg3529296#msg3529296).

I planned to temporarily cash out a bit in the range of 900 - 1000 but bitstamp fucked me with the verification lag and thus I didn't profit from the spike :D

You may have sources but anything could happen in that time that your sources (if they exist) didn't anticipate so I wouldn't buy based on a sentence with no evidence that I can see.

I am sure that if you would reveal your source and people would give it credit, they would be buying bitcoins, so price would go up. Just reveal the secret and you will get more profit than just with a 0.01-0.02 BTC for the tip. Otherwise, it's just speculation.  ;)

Turns out OP was somewhat right. It did rise for ~15 days. Maybe OP is a whale who gradually bought in and then dumped all at once and knew about the Chinese bitcoin ban in advance?
