Title: How can you know the reason of banned?
Post by: rlcarriers123 on April 26, 2018, 04:17:23 PM
Hello guys. Good afternoon.

I am bit confuse on how we know what the reason of being banned.
I know that the person have been banned breaks a rule or do something unnecessary. What I am need to clarify is how those person got banned know exactly reason.
For example. I got banned. The word that was only showed up was this:
"Sorry rlcarriers, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
You have been banned by a forum moderator. You may appeal here: banappeals-w6pquw43@theymos.e4ward.com".

Is there anything I could do to know what specific post or link of posts that trigger to banned a account. So that all get banned wont have a question to their mind. :)
I know our Sir Theymos is a busy person so that I believe that it was hard for him to reply all email inquiry regarding account banned.

Is it the banning system open for recommendation?
If yes? I would like to recommend that at least add the reason ( link of post of the person to get banned ) so that they are aware. ^_^ thank you. And have a great day.

Only staff can see the reason afaik. Also which account got banned? Usually it is plagiarism which causes people to get banned.

Plagiarism i suppose. You have copy pasted some text from online and attached them to your posts without using quotes what so ever or giving any credit to the original author.

Your reply:

An Initial Coin Offering (ICO) is used by startups to bypass the rigorous and regulated capital-raising process required by venture capitalists or banks.

You won't be unbanned most likely, as plagiarism most often is an automatic permanent ban without second chance.

I can't un-ban you, so don't bother asking me if I can do anything for you.  I did not request your ban either.

Your post history on that account is FULL of plagiarized posts.  You didn't make a mistake, you intentionally took someone else's work and tried to pass it off as your own.  In my personal opinion you can kindly fuck right off and won't be missed by anyone.

If you wish to appeal your ban you already have the information to do so.

Good morning Sir Flying Hellfish. I would like to apologize regarding this and I swear that I will avoid it now with this new account. And won't forget again to include the site.

Thanks again.

I'm genuinely curious, did you take a few minutes since your ban and read all the rules of the forum?

I'm also curious to know if you have posted with this account outside of this "appeal thread" since your ban?

Lastly do you have any idea why I might be asking about where you have been posting since your ban?

Yes Sir, I did read some rules of the forum.

Yes Sir, I posted some after I get banned like this post link:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3392287.msg35674394#msg35674394
and this also,

Pardon Sir, I've just read it awhile ago yet I posted some when I got banned Sir other than meta.

Note: If you are banned on one account then you are not allowed to post under any accounts you own for the duration of your ban. The only exception to this rule is Meta where you can discuss the circumstances of your ban if you wish to do so but anywhere outside of that sub will be considered ban evasion and will get your ban doubled, but it is generally best to just patiently wait out your ban and improve your posts on return and hopefully no further bans will be needed.

I may be mistaken but you will have received a perma ban.

This likely came from my reporting you or someone else doing the same; for plagiarism.

Here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3358627.msg35522252#msg35522252) is where I documented your copy/pasting.

It was also my mistake Sir. Even I want to help him out regarding on  How to know if ICO was scam. I should include the site.

He got spotted a plagiarism just what I did. For me, he should be sanction too, for him to be aware that copying a context to the web without citing the site is a crime. Just what I did before.

I think you have to send email to admins for the information. maybe they wont reply you, in that case, you will never know why you get banned. I am sorry about that.

oh.! I read your post sir, but. I'm confused because you could not be banned if you did nothing wrong. but you're right also.  You should also have further details on why you are being banned. but the point is.. . . you could be careful next time sir.
sir steamtyme put a link for prov.. . so now you may know why.

The easiest way which almost everyone use is to  relate a new profile and start a thread where you explain your situation and ask for answers and help.  Other users who have more experience on the forum will tell you all possible reasons by taking a look on your banned profile.

I tried it but it still didn't work. I try to make new kaun again and will use it better

If you got a permanent ban from violations like plagiarism, creating another account is useless. It is considered as ban evasion and that is also a serious violation of the forum rules.

Ban evasion, by own admission.

Sit out the time of the 7 Days and hopefuly it was a lesson for you , maybe spam or something else !

If you get a perma ban you can look at yourself maybe why you got banned here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5043370.0  !

But the real reason why got a ban can only say a Moderator or a Global Moderator and Admin !

No, the real reason in his case is very, very clear:

unsubstantial posts (7 days)

And this should be in its own thread, not this one.  Cryptobulls.exchange/abhi7pund is obviously a shitposter so bad that he got a ban, which is a rarity around here.  It's good to see mods taking action against spammers like him.  If he's not bright enough to understand what was written in the ban message, he has no place on this forum.  This isn't one of those special schools for mentally disabled internet users.  Perhaps he should leave bitcointalk altogether and go out and search for such a place.

Just make an appeal in this forum so that other users can take a look of your ban account if you do have and then they can help you identify your violations. Either way the admins can also see right through your post and can also give you feedback or help on lifting the ban of  your account if you are not accountable on any ban related violations. Just start a thread and indicate the details of your account and ask why you get ban. This is just a simple yet effective way on knowing why one user gets banned on this forum.

Anytime I open the Meta forum I see this:

https://talkimg.com/images/2023/11/12/zuqmN.png

At least 5-6 sometimes 10 threads in the top 30 where members are asking why they are banned and how can they be unbanned.
It has been suggested many times and this could be sorted out by changing the message that the users receive when they get banned and adding to it that the ban is Permanent for plagiarising, since that is the most common reason. The ban will not be lifted and it will remain permanent! That would take care of at least half of the 'Why is my account banned' threads here.

I don't think so you will received any reply from email when you banned very less chance to get back your account if plagiarism founded so definitely not
