Hi,

We are releasing our ICO soon, and we want your opinion. What would suit you better, and community in general: Slack or Discord?

Any other suggestions? We appreciate any help or feedback.

Im kinda into discord person, its safer though and easy to use. No need to register again if you allready have discord account, you just need to join the group and all set. And maybe you want to consider telegram too as your comunication method cause lot of people use it here, i can guarantee that 95% people here have telegram in their phone.

Yup I agree to you Im staying away from any slack channel because a lot of phising site are promote in slack channel be careful to your move when entering to any slack channel must better to use discord because it is easy to use and communicate to everyone :)

Looking at what happens in the space recently, I will tell the team to focus more of the discussion on Telegram, there is a reason why Telegram has its users number rise exponential rate after slack started having issues and people here getting scammed. I like Discord but seems the interface is not that user friendly and the experience can't be compared to that of telegram

I personally prefer telegram but if you are asking among slack and discord i think slack is useless now due to spam, phishing and scams, while discord does not have a huge community, so i will suggest telegram only.

to me Discord would seem a bit unfit for a professional project, so I'd say Slack

For me is Telegram the first place to follow projects and interact with them. After that I use also Twitter and Discord. The disadvantage of Discord is that you need to receive an invite from the group and after that you can enroll yourself to that group.

I think you need to take into account which platform is better for you to handle/manage and how many people you expect and what you expect from them e.g. which kind of discussions. If you can't provide your desired community the necessary environment you'll pay for it later (in term of time and/or money).

So I'd suggest you focus on:

• What kind of community do you want/expect?
• How large will your community be?
• What type of discussions/interactions?
• Which features do you need?
• Are you willing to pay extra for features?
• How many mods/admins can you spare?

Our main focus right now is of course Telegram, but we would also like to provide our community with an alternative solution, in case somebody does to have/prefer Telegram. We also took into consideration the recent news regarding Telegram in Russia, and we are trying our best to keep that side of the community happy as well.

Since a lot of people suggest that Slack is bad, we would think of starting to use Discord.

We would appreciate any help/suggestion from you.

DIScord have being doing well for  while I guess base on usage and experience with it. People keep complaining bout slack for the use of bot and hacks that had went successfully via it. Slack could be used to spam email box with viral messages. #justmyopinion

diskord is much better and easier to setup then slack and much more popular. i knew about slack only because of some ICOs and didnt found it  usefull

Thanks! We already have Telegram, but we think that we should give people alternatives. Especially when Telegram is actively under attack in Russia, we want to make sure people can stay in touch with us the most convenient way for all of us.

Don't choose slack because that's platform have a lot of scam bot, I prefer discord and telegram, easy to manage and super group allow large number member to join, anyway , good luck and hope your project success

I prefer discord coz of its simple UI, usability and speed. Besides I already use discord more often than slack so

I prefer discord. But I use slack mostly for job related stuff, less for crypto.

I haven't really experienced any scam bots but I guess it depends on the channels. The well moderated ones don't usually have htem.

Discord for me. I'm already in a lot of crypto groups in there and I find it really easy to manage them.

I prefer discord over slack. I used to join slack to receive news of various ICO projects. But many scammers are spamming slack channels. In the end, I deleted slack from my phone and join telegram and discord instead.

Thanks for the information. We are going for discord for sure since there is so much negativity about slack.

For now, I prefer discord. Some testimonials happen to hacked slack accounts, this makes me wary and tends to avoid using slack.

Slack or discord will not determine the success rate of an ICO project, telegram alone is enough for that, but again it does not determine the success or failure of an ICO. The most important thing is the promotion and how we run the project program properly

I'd like more telegram. But as alternative I think about discord. Spam bots in the Slack are such intrusive. The most of team discuss in Discord

We agree with you!  We do also have telegram, but since Russia actively fights against it, we want to offer our Russian community (and not only) an alternative.

I think discord is more popular among people. I only use slack when it is a mandatory for joining a bounty campaign or an ICO. While I use Discord for my daily activities. And I believe a lot of people have the same experience with me.  Moreover while I am using Slack, I got so many spam bot that spread MEW phising site, and it is really irritating.

discord is pretty good and one of the communication tools is complete and easy to use, its users are also quite a lot

Discord provides more opportunities for large groups of people, Slack for closed corporations, offices. And again my IMHO. In a word, Slack for coordination, a discord for communication.

I do not really agree with the use of slack. Discord is better, but Telegram is much preferable. You can get a lot of audience and good response through telegram. There are so many people who make use of telegram. I like discord, because it is also professional to use. You can consider either of the two. I mean either Discord or Telegram.

The reason why we want to use Discord/Slack supplementary is because we want to give people a choice and also avoid discomfort. As the government in Russia is actively banning Telegram, we want to find an alternative for the people there.

Do you have any suggestions in regards to that?

I like slack, because its more professional in my opinion, also i like telegram for public discussion, because all have telegram, but for team slack is ok.

Many bad projects - many good, all the success will depend on your own efforts and the most important thing is to do this every day

i prefer slack. an application i've been using for a long time and that's why im enjoying it. telegram is not as crowded, easy to use and functional. discord is more like a telegram, if your group is not too crowded it is a better application :)

I think you made the right choice. Discord is just more convenient in my opinion
