Title: Bitcoin most traded commodity on plus500
Post by: Bitsinmyhead on November 21, 2013, 12:26:46 PM
Plus500 is a large UK-based online trading company which is listed on the London Stock Exchange where you can trade CFDs on a range of financial markets. See my signature for more info.

I just received their newsletter which states that the most traded commodity the last 3 days has been Bitcoin. (Beating out both Gold and Oil.) Screenshot of the newsletter: http://imgur.com/UC9qTUP

Think this shows just how large the Bitcoin interest is right now. At Plus500 you can make instant deposits with credit cards so there is no waiting on money to hit the exchange. This is probably a good indicator that there is a huge amount of money on the way to the real exchanges as well.

Look like your observation was exactly correct. Is there any way to sign up for this newsletter so I know when this happen again?

Don't think you can just sign up for the newsletter, but you get it if you sign up for an account which is free. See my signature and you even get some free money to trade with  ;) Good luck!

Can we exchange bitcoin for gold, petrol and other metals there? I think this would be better than the usual crypto exchanges then,

I would rather hold real BTC in my encrypted wallet than some fractional banking instrument on the ledger of a second tier brokerage house.

Nice achievement  ;D though BTC already reached other interesting landmarks like beating WU in amount transferred daily (according to a statistics site).
Plus500 themselves are quite picky,They are refusing my country and about 20-30 other countries.

Hey

That is interesting,  Bitcoin's phenomenal progression never ceases to amaze me.

It seems more and more of the traditional 'city trader' types are taking notice, I wonder what effect this will have on the market.

Great news. Thanks

ARGH! Why wont they allow US accounts? This would be such a sweet way to buy BTC with my credit card or Paypal!

Yes this is exciting news.  I can't wait till this is the normal kind of news and nobody even bats an eye about it.  Then we will be seeing some serious adoptions across the board I have no doubt.

I don't think they let you buy , just trade.

It's leverage trading with them. I am not sure how they store and buy bitcoin. I don't think you can buy bitcoin. Trade and ultimately withdrawl in Fiat.

Spread is gigantic, much bigger than in the cryptocoins exchanges. It only makes seems to me if you want to leverage.
