The team of course is very important in such projects. But I think that the most important thing is the idea. The team can be cool, but if the idea is weak and not promising then the project will be closed sooner or later.

The guys above already gave advice. I agree. And I add from myself. This is a startup project or an existing real business. But mostly after analyzing the project, if I liked it. I watched how their ICO passes and on the basis of this I make a decision!

Usually i refer to some ico review site first, in there, all conclusion about ico project are simple, so we know the plus and negative value of the ico project.
second, was the team, looking at those team. Who and How's their experience in the blockchain system or others company.

it give plus value if the team members ever handle successfull ico project. and after that we can see what product they offer.

I look at the idea and see if it's something everyone is doing or if it's unique. Just like you wouldn't buy stock in an Amazon clone, you wouldn't want to buy into an ICO with a lot of competition in its space. Having developers and advisors on board that have real-world experience with established cryptos can really lend a lot of credibility to a project.

when  you check many of the new ICO that dominately bitcointalk daily you will realize that there are little or know ICO with a new Idea that has never been exploit. you can use the result of similar ICO that has been held to access the level of the risk involve when you invest in such token. secondly you need to factor in amount of token to be supply and the price of the token. all this have significant importancy that they play and thirdly make sure you set a target for yourself conserning how much you intend to earn as profit.

the team
the problem they are trying to solve
the token distribution model
does it need to be decentralised
how big is the current market their product aims to disrupt
tokeneconomics:
how many coins will be released during the ico
                        is that the final amount
how many coins will the team receive
will they receive then straight away or released in relation to goals being met

sigh :(( I have experienced also that there are good team in a certain project but they don't successfully made it to the top. Instead of continue going to the top they are backing off.

I try to look at the announcement threads sections and then evaluate them by their development team, whitepaper, if they have an MVP, and so on.

It is important that the project is interesting and beneficial to the community and the market as a whole. Insolvency should be caused by those white papers that do not clearly explain the need to create a coin or do not provide detailed information on how it will work.

As of now since there are so many ico coins and tokens released already and each of them has almost same claim, proclaiming to be the best among the rest,i only choose the low total supply project and with huge marketcap. :) Im done and tired hearing everyday those different project claiming to be the best but in the end will be just a dump coin, just a fud and hype circulating on their social sites and mediums just to promote their coin.

First thing, I never invest in an ICO no matter how good the team is or how bright the future is of the ICO looks. Secondly, there are many factors I look for when finding a project to invest in such as an active community, huge and talented dev team working for the project and if it has any real world use case.

I think when choosing right project you should check their develop and advisory team and most important is to check their activity on social media like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter etc. And you can check its rating on some rating sites also. And study about its white paper and road map well. Also how can it solve the problems after complete the project.

For me, first of all, this is the main idea of this project and whether it will develop in the future, after that there is already a team and what they are talking about in social networks.

Above all I try to get a sense of what they're trying to accomplish in what industry and of course, if I agree with that.

Then their whitepaper and development team comes 2nd, if they have an MVP, if they're making a profit and so on are other important things though.

I have the telegram there are several groups in which an experienced team taken from the total number of ICO worthy of attention and collect a pool for the participation in pre-ICO. I analyze these projects myself, look at the team, their activity and invest with them with good bonuses or do not invest if I do not like the idea of the project!

I agree with this ;D The first basis is a good team, second is the technology and I will include the community behind the project. ;)

The Idea of knowing what will be the chance of being successful is the best thing to remember when dealing with ico's, if you believe that there's
something that this new project will offer then investing with it will be essentials, as possibilities to succeed is also higher than those who doesn't
have good road plan and scammy dev, we should learn from past experiences, guiding yourself to find better project and it will be a huge success
if you will be able to find one that will bring decent profits.

There's this ICO going on for an Australian company called BlockGrain.io  They’re aiming to automate the supply chain with Grain and later on Fruit/Vegetables/Wool. The sale has started.

Generally speaking, I pay more attention to the team's advisory team.
Because the team's advisory team largely determines whether the project has good liquidity.

There are several sites that do a good job of publishing ICO details - website information, download link to the white paper, team leadership links (often with notes about whether the LI addresses work or not), plus details on the token sale mechanics - number of tokens to be issued/sold, price, currencies accepted, dates, etc.

We do have different ways on how are we going to find a good project/ICO in where we're going to participate. In my case I've made a criteria on choosing the ICO on where I'm going to invest such as:

• Background of the team (If they're really the person behind that project)
• Reading the Whitepaper and look if it can really be done.
• Checking the road map and technical analysis and see if they meet it on time.
• Different reviews from different persons and platforms.
• Hype of the community.
• Activeness of the admins or representative.
• Updates about the progress of the project (Ex. Picture conducting a partnership with a country, Videos, awardings, etc.) Because if they give something like this there's a high chance that the project is legit.
• Active Social media accounts and group community chat.

Well this is all my own criteria on choosing what ICO/project you're going to invest. This is just my personal criteria and doesn't have any proper research about this so there's no assurance that this will work.

1 Word : Whitepaper. The whitepaper is the first thing that comes to my mind whenever I wish to analyse a ICO at any point of time. I tend to carefully check the whitepaper from top to bottom and observe if it is legit or not. If satisfied, I proceed to check the other aspects like development team behind the project, social media interactions, soft or hard cap, roadmap etc and then decide whether the ICO is legit or not. This strategy has almost always helped me invest in legit projects until now which is why I highly recommend this strategy to everyone. The whitepaper is my basis in this aspect.

The idea and their solution to the problem they're trying to solve.
The team behind the project, their experience in the field.

I will analyze ico, team member background, project vision, code development schedule and coin distribution from several perspectives. There are also active communities, a large and talented development team for project work, and whether there are any real use cases.

For me, too, the main concept of finding a good project is a team that has a lot of experience in this area and good performance in the companies in which they worked, is also their someone's public person - this is very important !

You need to look at the development team to see if they show their faces. And also on managers of advertising / bounty campaigns on the Bitcointalk forum. Usually scammers do not show their faces and do not hire well-known managers.

I read the white paper first and check the in website if the project's idea is realistic and how it will follow what's in the road map. I also check the composition of the team. That's how I evaluate any other ICO I am joining in.

You can use the same ICO's results that have been held to access risk levels when investing in such a token. Secondly, you need to determine the amount of tokens and tokens.

To find a good ICO project, the first one I saw was the Team working on the project, and I always studied their website, because I think the good ICO has a website that is clear kertaputih, roadmap and products they offer and the prospect of profit which is offered.

I do not think there is a standard answer to this question. We all know that good projects also need the support of the overall environment of the industry. In the past few years, community development has also accelerated the emergence of several super projects like ETH. I think a good project needs clear business scope and specific business implementation time except the team is very important. It's very critical.
