Title: Good multicoin wallet?
Post by: callingshotgun on November 23, 2013, 11:24:28 PM
While I still mainly invest in bitcoin, I'm diversifying a bit into primecoin & litecoin - But I'd like an easy way to look at my holdings without opening up 3 separate (but nearly identical) wallet apps.  Is there a singular wallet app, preferably with cold storage / view-only mode (like the blockchain android app), that will just show me my balances, recent transactions, etc across all my cryptocurrency addresses?

You should read or ask the question (when you can) in the altcoin forum:

Thanks for the tip!  Unfortunately, (as I think you noticed), being new to this particular site, I'm restricted to the newbie forum for now :)

Is there any save multicoin wallet out there? I don't trust those ones.

I agree. Too many blockchains to download if you only intend to eventually mine one or two types. I would recommend you to get an account at an exchange like vircurex or btc-e because they have the most popular alt coins. Security isn't as much of a concern for those just getting their first coins, that aren't worth very much in the first place. I have a few clients already, but I accept coins to the address generated by Vircurex or BTC-e, dont have every coin but they allow you to receive the most popular ones.

Go exchange!
