Title: mining Post by: acronis on November 24, 2013, 06:11:27 PM hello everyone i have a question about cgminer i try to download it but avast blocks it because it says its a virus also virustotal reports the same here https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/b2fd39957c7eeee6fed18eed2050d60f0ddb813bd0cf273101cf3f68a3e10cea/analysis/ has anyone used this miner and what miner do you recommend?

Title: Re: mining Post by: Jacce on November 24, 2013, 06:42:09 PM If you are new with mining you should check out GUIMiner. It includes CGMiner and many other miners, but it is a lot easier to set up since it comes with a GUI.

Personally i haven't had any problems with cgminer and avast although i 'm running an older version. Title: Re: mining Post by: howzar on November 24, 2013, 07:48:52 PM I don't think cgminer has any trojans (if it's the real copy) ,it uses your hardware and since allot of new malware's use bitcoin mining. the codes are suspected.
