Title: BTCTools scammed me - Beware of this Fraudster!
Post by: CoderniX on November 25, 2013, 05:12:01 AM
He/She seems sweet and energetic, and he asked to buy some coins by Paypal.

I agreed to start with small amounts, until a bond of trust is established and I can supply more.

I said to provide 0.074BTC and he said he'll pay instantly on Paypal, and he asked me to pay first and that I should check his Trust Status.

I went on there and read some 4 or 5 positive reps and felt safe to trade with him/her, and I sent the transaction to the address he/she supplied, and that was verified instantly on BlockChain from here:

https://blockchain.info/address/1NNKk39HM9nwCY98LLTSNpShE1odq4oxcv

My transaction can be seen specifically from here:

https://blockchain.info/tx/5ca53e8092cf249fb6aeb23d3cabb611093dfa23400439c9261b1dd8092e2556?show_adv=true

The Fraudster https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=93190 -- BTCTools (http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=93190) -- disappeared right after I sent him the coins, and I kept PMing him/her for hours, then he/she got back to me after a long while and apologized and said the electricity went down in their area, and he/she asked to send him a Paypal Payment request to this email:

vlasharov@bk.ru

I kept PMing him/her for a whole day, and although I see him/her online, still no response to the moment.

I bet he/she was looking for someone else to scam.

Here are some of his/her PMs:

BTC-e USD rate sounds fine?
(0.074 = 50$)

What is you'r PayPal account?

And my wallet address is :

Thanks in advance.

He/She seems very polite. Huh?

Sure ,will send in a few minutes..
By the way ,May i buy some more BTC's by tomorrow?

Giving assurances that he/she will buy again, after I asked him/her to pay me.

Quote
I'm very very sorry!
The Electricity in the hole neighborhood felt down..

Please send me a gift request link so i will pay..

Once again ,
I'M VERY SORRY FOR YOUR TIME!

How kind of him/her!??

Please send me a payment request to vlasharov@bk.ru
Once again ,i'm sorry.

Sent him requests and they're pending for 2 days.

Stay away from this scam. (no pun intended)

Never sell an irreversible currency for a reversible currency.

Learned the hard way, although I thought this forum is different, plus I saw he/she's got a positive reputation, but I was wrong and the lesson is learned even more.

I just cannot understand how can such people put their heads on the pillow and have a peaceful sleep at night  ???

Make it just he ( he/she doesnt look good )
Also, i think it is probable that:

he gambled it and lost the amount
he will pay you soon ( 33% )

Also should i help you?

Is SparrowGreen a Mod who can help me here or you're suggesting something else?

I'm open to all suggestions.

And I really don't want anything except what we've agreed upon or simply he sends me the exact amount I send him, and I've mentioned this in one of my PMs to him and he has my address in it.

It looks like he's betting as it seems from the steady amounts he keeps receiving on that address.

I wish he'll get his consciousness restored one more time and he'd pay his dues for once.

*Sigh*

Any suggestions are welcome.
