Title: WMCode: Developer, Designer
Post by: W-M on November 25, 2013, 09:19:20 AM

Hello there.

My name is W-M. I am a young web designer and developer.
You can find me at WMCode.nl (http://wmcode.nl)

I have almost eight years of experience in developing web sites, bulletin board systems/forums, small JavaScript toys, as well as more advanced web applications and systems, including payment systems using Bitcoin.
I have experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL and Ruby, as well as some less known scripting and programming languages, such as GLSL and SuperCollider. I also know how to make documents the proper way: using LaTeX.
I am also capable of designing and creating Logo's, Posters and Business Cards for you or your company. I create these using Vector-Art, which means that your logo will look just as nice and crisp on a mobile phone,a high-resolution flat screen and on a billboard.

I have worked on many projects on the past, freelance work for people or small companies who wanted to present themselves on the internet, as well as many hobby-projects to get a deeper understanding about all kinds of techniques involved with web design.

A short excerpt of recent projects:

  • SatoshiCarnival, A refreshing Bitcoin Casino. All site design, graphics and sound was done by me. satoshicarnival.co (https://satoshicarnival.co)
  • New website for sculptor/painter Johanneke Dun: johannekedun.nl (http://johannekedun.nl)
  • Website for me as mucisian: wmmusic.nl (http://wmmusic.nl)
  • A free JavaScript plugin to add animated coin stacks to web pages: GitHub: JS-CoinStackBar (https://github.com/Qqwy/JS-CoinStackBar)
  • Website for game developer/comic artist Martine Chapuis: martinechapuis.net (http://martinechapuis.net)

If you want to know just how good I am at writing in JavaScript and other languages, you can also check out these geeky demos:
  • My 2014 JS1K contest entry: Game of Thrones theme. (http://js1k.com/2014-dragons/demo/1953) (I got 8th place!)
  • Bytebeat Cover of 'Predestined Fate' from VVVVVV (written by Souleye) (http://tinyurl.com/predfate2lq)
  • Cover of 'Please Exist' from Knytt Underground (written by Nifflas) (http://tinyurl.com/pleaseexist)
  • Bytebeat cover of 'Focus' from SuperHexagon (written by Chipzel) (http://tinyurl.com/focushexagon1-4)
  • Experimental Music Visualizer using WebGL (Strong browser required!) (https://www.shadertoy.com/view/ldsXWn)

I love the Bitcoin concept. As I am still a student, I can offer to work for less than most competitors.

My prices are: 0.04 BTC per hour, which is approximatelly equal to 20 euro at current prices.
I will keep track exactly what I do in my time, so you won't get less than you pay for.
Because my long experience I am also fairly accurate about how much hours a certain task will take, so you won't get sudden surprises.
I have worked with very diverse people before, and know that good communication is very important. I am able to make fast mockups in Inkscape to ensure that you and I are thinking in the same direction.

If you have any questions or other queries, feel free to post them here or send me a Personal Message.

I look forward to working with you!

~W-M

W-M came to me when I posted on the forums here requiring some javascript work be done, after seeing his examples I was impressed but I was more impressed by the speed at which he came back to me with the library I required https://github.com/Qqwy/JS-CoinStackBar (https://github.com/Qqwy/JS-CoinStackBar) just shortly after an agreement was made. I would happily send any future work I have his way.

If anyone has questions regarding this please feel free to send me a personal message.

Good luck with your service. You have a lot of competition on this forum.
That is very true. However, I believe that a bit of competition is healthy. And I am doing all I can to show my skills, which hopefully will persuade you to choose me for your projects.

Sounds like a cool service

Will definitely sound you out if I need any work done
Thank you! I look forward to it  :).

After spending some time in the speculation forum, I thought it would be fun to make these:
http://imageshack.us/a/img849/7509/kn43.png  and  http://imageshack.us/a/img845/9539/bfj1.png

To use them in your messages:
Code:
Bull

Bear:

Use them wherever you wish  ;).

A picture I made for the latest dip, which actually turned out in hindsight to not be that much of a bubble.

In the meantime I am also working on a few websites for some people. Unfortunately I cannot go into details. However, there still is some free room in my schedule. If you have a project that you need a web programmer for, I'm all ears!

The bitcoin logo looks really weird.

Here is a first entry for the Wasp Miner logo contest (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=364115.0). I got a little carried away; the wasp might be a little too detailed for use on a logo.

My logo designs of the day:

The Wasp Miner Logo Contest (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=364115.msg3911714#new)

This time I took the inspirations that have been given throughout the topic (as well as Bicknellski's National Geographic pics), and turned it into this:

#1
http://wmmusic.nl/bitcoin/waspminer/wasp7b.png
This wasp should look both cool and awesome, without scaring people away. It is holding a transaction block and is stinging right through it.

And an alternate version, without the cracks. After all, the Wasp Miner is actually protecting the block, not breaking it:
#2
http://wmmusic.nl/bitcoin/waspminer/wasp9b.png

And another version, using a slightly altered color scheme to make it more easy on the eyes:
#3

Let me know what you think.  ;)

*Blows away dust*

Phew! It's been quite a while!

I mostly have been away working on one single project that I'd like to share with you:
the new Bitcoin Casino called SatoshiCarnival (https://satoshicarnival.co).

https://satoshicarnival.co/style/promotional/logo.png (https://satoshicarnival.co)

SatoshiCarnival tries to be different by being very transparent and fair towards the players, besides looking gorgeous on any and all devices and being exceptionally safe.

I am responsible for all the front-end development of this marvelous new site, (as well as the sound effects) and now that we're finally in Open Beta, I want to share some of the designs with you, so you:
  • Learn more about this amazing site.
  • Know what I'm capable of.

Here's the collage that I made, displaying some of the features and design of the site. Of course, trying it out for yourself will show you much more! As they say: A picture is worth thousand words, then an interactive site is worth thousand images.

Check out the SatoshiCarnival topic on Bitcointalk Here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=619499.msg6859227)

All right, that's enough about that. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM or reply right here in this topic.

I wish you all the best and hope to hear from you soon!

Thank you! Unfortunately, in the end, they were not chosen.

If I ever can do anything for you, don't be afraid to send me a message.
